Anyways... NO. WHY WOULD THEY PUT FREDDY IN? "Lululul we haz WB character fans will luv it"

My God. Getting the compatibility pack, that's it. The only way I'd get him is if someone paid and even then I'd never use him.
 
Why are people still talking about this Freddy DLC, he's cool and all of that but I half to say that freddy is the prince of nightmares, but Scorpion on the other hand, is a hellspawn from HELL and can manhandle his bald ass all the way to once he came.
Now Freddy is old news, and I am just giving my honest opinion.
P.S Tremor should have been the DLC. :)
 
I'm hoping they release the vulture from the story opening cutscene... That way Freddy would have someone to verse with equal fighting skills

There will be no more DLC.
This is the last DLC character.

IF NRS makes another batch of DLC, and that's a big IF, it will probably be WAAAAY down the road (5 to 6 months).

NO ONE liked the idea of Cyber Sub-Zero, with exception of a FEW people (maybe 10 people), way back when the idea was floating around 7 to 8 months ago.

As far as DLC goes:

- Skarlet = Got in because she was a rumored secret character in MK II, therefore Ed Boon wanted to flesh her out like he did with Ermac in MK 3, after the MK 1 rumor.

- Kenshi = Ed Boon has stated MANY times that Kenshi is his 2nd favorite character, after Scorpion.
Ed Boon hard-on for Kenshi = Kenshi as MK 9 DLC.

- Rain = Got in because the fans nearly tore his ear off on Twitter for Rain not being included in a roster that consisted of "MK 1 thru UMK 3 characters," as Ed Boon was so proudly touting.

- Freddy = Got in because WB / NRS wanted a guest character included that would guarantee more $$$$ for WB.




The ONLY character that got in, due to fan request, was Rain.
Even then, people had to practically BEG Ed Boon on Twitter, to put in a character that should have been on the MAIN roster

I feel I have to agree with this. It really felt like Boon was trying to hear the fans out when in reality he already had it set up who he wanted.

I felt DLC 1,2 and 4 were already decided for who it was going to be, and that 3 was up for option but given the begging for rain it was set to be him.

I am not gonna lie I am curious to see that as well. Granted I am sure they will also post his ending. they did for rain which threw me off. Guess that way if you are curious about his ending you don't have to buy him lol works for me

That's not accurate at all. Boon commented that Rain was one of the first characters that they knew was going to be released as DLC, meaning it was planned prior to the demand. Of course, the fact that they intended to release any particular character as DLC is damning, not because NRS/Boon failed to listen to series fans, but because they should have been included in the initial release. Rain in particular.

It is accurate, because when the fans found out that Rain WASN'T on the main select screen, they bombarded his Twitter with Rain requests; so much so, that Boon even made a game out of dodging Rain questions with smart-assed remarks.

I agree though, he should have been on the main roster.

The fact remains that the characters to have such high demand to be in, were:

- Rain
- Cyber-Smoke
- Fujin
- Reiko
- Shinnok

Out of those 5, only 1 of those made it in, as DLC.

I hated Rain didn't make roster, if he did he would have had a talking intro, and possibly some storyline dialogue...grrrr not bitter.... yes i am lol
