And, yeah, I totally agree with you; I never understood the whole "Cyber Smoke shouldn't be DLC because Cyber Sub-Zero replaced him" argument, either. Honestly, I don't understand any of the arguments I've heard against Cyber Smoke being DLC. But of all things I've heard, story?

As an avid fan of MK's story, with about a dozen story theories for MK10, people take story way too damn seriously if they think story relevance should affect a character becoming DLC.

lol its funny to think about, for someone like cyber smoke, story is such a huge deal to bring him in. yet for freddy the response seems whatever bring it on.... i don't get it lol

As for the $5, it's ok. I saved my $5 from not buying that abomination named Rain.

-Never liked his gameplay
-Never liked his fatalities (which is a minor problem)
-And never liked his design, purple or not.
-Never evolved from a palette swap to me
-Another lightning person
-A water ninja never really appealed to me

Meh, still never liked it. showed lack of creativity. I'd prefer a unique character instead another "element" ninja.

Plus they had just added Nightwolf, so if they had to have a more lightning esque character they could of developed that a bit more for him.

Ok, I see you dont like it and you are entitled to, but calling him an "abomination" is just too much.

Rain doesnt lack creativity, he is the only water elemental, he is very unique, and his moves have unique properties, like the water bubble which you can control.

Imo, he has one of the best backstories and his ending is awesome. The first time I completed the 300th challenge, it was with Rain, the first time I beat ladder mode on expert mode without losing a single round, it was with Rain again. Maybe, that's why he's my favorite character, I wasn't even a fan of his before this game.
 
i like rain, i just wish his moves were faster. I guess that would make him Overpowered but dang it i want it hahahaha

i hate the build up to his roundhouse kick, but i do like his water control bubble. his fatalities are weak IMO but i still highly enjoy the character more than I would any guest character

A couple of moves don't equal prominence, though. Nightwolf's special moves revolve around him summoning spiritual energy, not just lightning.


I understand what Osmodius is saying, but he is over-exaggerating; there not that many characters that use the lightning element, especially in comparison to those that use fire, for example.

I'd say 2.

Liu Kang and Scorpion.

Since Scorpion has 2 fire specials (demon fire and teleport [he involves in flames]), then he has 3 fire enhanceds (hellfire, flame teleport, flame spear), and he has 2 fire combos (fire punch 111, and fire flipkick F214)
