Just a little thread to see who everyone on the boards has been maining with, I know alot of people will have zigzagged between characters by now, but just put whoever you are currently using?

For example I've been using Shang Tsung for the past few days, and while he's not as straightforward as some others I like his character enough to try and stick with him.

(Since the maximum number of options for a poll is 10, I'll just keep track of the numbers by editing this post)

Right now, my best character is sektor, been playing as shang (got a few nice combo's that i can never pull off in actual matches) but i have to be honest, i still haven't found that one character i want to "main", as i said i do best with sektor but when i play as him i dont get that "feeling" that he is the one.

I actually keep meaning to train with reptile but i got to admit, i dont like his current appearance so much (im not usually the type to care what a char looks like, but reptile, i prefer him as a disguised ninja than full on reptile, also, i keep hearing people mention a alt costume concept of him in the KE/TE book, anyone care to share it with me?)

so yah, wall of text and all you really get from me is, sektor is my best but i dont know who i want to main.
 
It's funny that you used Sektor previously, I went from Ermac to Sektor to Shang. I can do Tsang's straightforward 25% combo easy enough, Bp, Bp, Fp, BackGroundSkull, SoulSteal.

But in online matches I can barely do it, usually accidentally cancel into the air skull :/

He has some nice zoning techniques that make up for it for online though, the ground skulls are great for pinning people at fullscreen or just swatting away jumpers, SoulSteal is an alright anti air too.

I think most people are going with the easier characters at least to start with (Ermac, Noob, Scorpion) but I hear there are more balances due for the likes of Sektor and Ermac.
 
Im using Stryker as my main, and Sektor as my 2nd.

Stryker is actually really good against people who spam projectiles from the other side of the stage, his roll goes right under them and punishes them. I went against a spamming Nightwolf (Shoulder, Lightning, Bow, etc) I had no problem with him. The roll dodged the lightning, went under the Shoulderhit, and punished him for using the bow.

His gun is another really good weapon against spammers, stops them while their winding up.

It doesn't hurt that Stryker's good at spamming, either. Not that that's how you play, but it makes sense. :p
