I've been getting back into traditional art lately. I'd like to do some digital work too, but I have always found sketching and shading way more therapeutic.

I felt like I regressed in my ability since I haven't been drawing conistently as of late.

Those are some of the more recent sketches on a small sketchbook. I haven't done any large drawings in years.

I have been wanting to more pixel art, possibly with animation, but it takes more time to than I would like.

I see what you mean. It takes me a long time to draw confident lines cause I'm so scared of it looking like poo.

But that pixel art is really cool! I want to attempt 2D animation one day but I know for a fact that ots very hard.

I did 3D animation and it was okay if I had done it more I would have liked it.

I always had a hard time with drawing good solid lines, they always end getting broken up midway.


Precision is key with pixel art, you want to make every dot count. It's amazing what was produced during the 90s, considering they had much smaller sprites and color palettes to work with.

I would argue that SNK's old sprites were better than what they did with KOFXII/XIII for the time it was created.

Edit: 3D animation seems to be way to go for a finding a job. While there is a of lot of good 3D works, I'll always have a soft spot for 2D animation.

Yeah pixel art is to be respected because for a typography project we had to make a font and I choose to make a bead alphabet. Not all the way same but similar when I had to get the structure of the letters right.

The moment MMO Champion showed off the tier sets, I was set in stone that I wanted this helm for my priest. It's such a badass looking helm that surprisingly, I don't see a lot of other players wear.

Close. It's basically a mix between Jet Set Radio, Air Gear with a little of my own stuff. Futuristic rollerblading with fighting mechanics.

Did some fast crappy sketch for new design (we gotta upgrade).

I dunno how many I'm gonna make. This style of cartooning that I've been doing for a few months now is just really, really fun.

I will be doing some coloring with these, as soon as I settle in my new place and get a new cord for my printer since the usb port got bent and I can't fix it. :/
