What do you think of the NEW characters?

cassie: I like how sassy she is, nothing too special about her gameplay wise, kinda dull but if sonya and cage are both out, she's more than welcome in my book

jacqui: only saw a tiny bit of her in the story trailer, impressed. that thing on her hand makes me think she might throw something out of there like cyborg in injustice. can't wait for more

takeda: I like the male model they used for him overall but I believe a different outfit would be more appropriate for him. ninja like probably, he got trained by scorpion and whatnot. I expect a lot from him

kung jin: that fatality was f'in awesome, I guess he plays like green arrow when it comes to using your bow. impressed

erron black: I suppose he will be like deathstroke, the only thing I hate is this idiotic name. NRS' creativity when it comes to names is terrible, this applies to jacqui and kung jin as well. really excited about him, expectations are too high, he is awesome

ferra/torr: don't like but I can see why others do, it's something brand new (two chars together) and an interesting concept, I just don't like how torr is a mute muscle and I don't like ferra at all

d'vorah: disgusting as hell due to the insects but definitely very unique looks and gameplay. I like her

kotal kahn: amazing character, super impressed

overall: the only one I actually dislike is ferra/torr and I just find cassie dull when it comes to her gameplay (do not dislike her though, she's very sassy). gotta say, despite the terrible names, NRS looks more than capable of creating GOOD new characters now that can be part of the next games too
 
Takeda seems like he's gonna be one of those bland hero characters reused constantly and is more so the basic generic warrior type, he's the most unappealing character to me thus far.

Jacqui is the most appealing to me, as I've been wanting her in the roster since the comic with her came out, and she'll likely be one of the first people I play.

Ferra/Torr and D'Vorah seem like the baraka/reptile of this game, being there probably just to get beat every so often in story.

Cassie PEAKED my interest in her with this Trailer, so I'm looking forward to her and her attitude a bit more than I was before.

Erron looks cool. He's the only new male I actually want to play. The others look like some type of soul calibur palette swaps.

Kung Jin? No. I will give makeshift siegfried no attention.

Kotal's STORY seems interesting, but his gameplay looks like a nap on the couch.
 
The intially revealed characters are more interesting to me than the ones introduced in the recent story trailer. Jacqui's design was too predictable. Takeda reminds of several post-MK3 characters with their funny armor designs. I wouldn't have given Kung Jin any notice if it weren't for his archery gimmick. I can't say much about Erron Black.

I've expressed my opinions on Kotal, D'Vorah, Ferra/Torr and Cassie in the past. Gonna focus on the newest characters to be revealed.

Erron Black : The guy definitely looks like a bad ass. He's got one hell of a design. But so far there isn't much to go by when it comes to his story or personality. He kinda looks like the Boba Fett of MKX.

Takeda : The character I was most excited to see in the trailer. His design is fantastic. I can't believe some of you idiots are saying he looks like an armored Liu Kang. Wtf are you talking about? As someone who despises Liu Kang, I can assure you that Takeda in no way looks like Liu. Anyway, can't wait to see what they do with his character. His lack of dialogue in the trailer was annoying. But I'm still hyped. Also - Those metallic whips. *squeal*

Kung Jin : At this point... He's just okay. His design and relation to Kung Lao bores me. But I do like the fact that he's an archer. Can't wait to see some gameplay of him.

Jacqui : Love her. Despite my hatred of her father, I think she's ing awesome looking. She's got a great design, great personality (so it seems) and looks to be a great fit in the new group.

This is based on what i saw. Kotal looks unique and great. New moves and interesting background. Dvorah insect ladt which is cool and i saw how she plays. Cassie not really a fan of her but she is her own character. Ferra torr a unique concept. Takeda not really a fan of his costume but he was trained by scorpion and used whip. Kung jin uses a bow and look different from everyone else. Jaquie looks boring just another special forces lady nothing special. No matter how she plays shw will look boring.

What you played is more important than what you saw. Gameplay takes priority.

As a whole, they look awesome because of how diverse they appear to be. I predict many ppl with different taste and preferences will be able to find something out of this group of new characters that personally appeals to them, and what could be more important than that. I am really liking the overall roster for MKX atm.
 
I do hope Ron Tan Cho does make it to the game. He sounds pretty cool and I imagine him as a yakuza type of guy. I think a yakuza character in MK would be pretty cool.

Competitive players don't care what looks interesting to them, so long as a character gives them the best chance to win.

You think everyone plays for competition only. Only around 2% participate in tournaments. The rest play for the love of the game. Nobody plays scorpion in any tournament but he still one of the fans favorite and still play him
 
Competitive players are a minority, I play for fun like most of the people here, I don't care who gives me more chances to win I care who gives me more fun. I don't need to win just to get some false sense of archievment.
 
Point is, gameplay supercedes aesthetics 100% of the time. You play with your hands, not with your eyes.

I just rewatched the Stream and Trailer cause i was very busy the last few days.
The only thing i can say is.... WOW. The story, the Kharakters, just everything
about this game looks so damn good. It may be a bit early to say something like
this, but it looks like NRS have outdone themselves. Even at this point, im
quite sure MKX will be a beat 'em up milestone. At least fot the story, which
is usually a minor point in games like this.

I can't believe that they even made me like Mileena. I really like her
new, mad look. Really fits her Kharakter this time.(finally)
Because of her new look, i think she will be playable.
Anything else would be total waste.

About Takeda, he seems very interesting. Reminds me a bit
of Liu Kang, but thats just the hair i guess. I wonder if he
uses his spear(?) anything like Scorpion?

Kung Jin... i never really liked Archer and Bow Guys. His Fatality looks
sick, and he is a new dude, so i try and let him surprise me.

As for Jacqui, i prefer her over Jax any day. Looks like fun to play with,
and i wonder what the hell those things on her arms are?

Erron Black: The first time i saw him, i thought he will never make it on
the roster. A Cowboy Kharakter just doesn't fit in the MK universe. But
now, he seems like an interesting guy. And im sure there is something
funny about him... we will have to wait and see.

Im hyped btw.
