What do you don't like about the game?

1) The terrible marketing.
2) All these dead heroes making a comeback with NO explanation.
3) Lack of Sektor or Cyrax.
4) Running. UMK3 was my least favorite MK game.
5) Scorpion and Sub-Zero still fighting. (Which doesn't make sense. I figured Hanzo and Bi-Han would gang up on Quan Chi in this game...)
6) Again, the marketing. We JUST found out about the collector's editions TWO months before launch.

- Scorpion.
I'm not in denial, I know why he is in the game. I am aware of his popularity, I am aware that he is the face of MK and NRS, I am aware that he is Boon's favourite character... I just wish all these things weren't the case and that Scorpion would be one of the characters never to return to the franchise. I know it'll never happen, but a man can wish.

- Kano.
I don't care about him at all. I don't like his new looks, but it's not just that. I never play as him, I don't care about his story or any reasons for him being in the game, and I'd rather he wasn't so someone I do care about could take his place.

- Sub-Zero's "new" looks.
First of all, it's the palette-swap look. He and Scorpion are the two original ones, so I can accept they are the two still looking like that. But for the first time ever, I actually like Scorpion's costume better than Sub-Zero's. However, if the recent screenshot of him and Ermac truly shows Subbie in his alt of which is Kuai Liang's looks in the comics, that'll be the one I'll be using.

- Ferra.
I actually think Torr looks somewhat cool and he is generally the character you use. But there's nothing about Ferra I like. I'd either completely redesign her or remove her.

- Raiden.
I'd rather have Fujin than Raiden. Raiden has become boring and insignificant to me, and it is not because of the storyline in MK9. I liked him in that game, but after it, I'd rather he became Dark Raiden or that he completely resigned so Fujin could take his place.

- The Variations costume changes.
I'd rather the Variation you use is just shown in the corner someplace, somewhat like the fighting style in MKDA-MKA. That they have to change the looks of the characters seems unnecessary to me.

- The chance of having Johnny or Sonya in MKX.
I hope neither of them returns. And not because Cassie is a mix of them, because I don't see her as such. However, I do see her as a better replacement for both of them. Her overall character catches my interest, something neither of her parents have ever succeeded in doing so. And I'd rather have other characters in the game than those two.

- The Story Mode's chapter build.
I'd rather have it that you chose a character from the roster and then saw the entire story from said character's point of view. And when done with that character, you can choose another and play his/her story.

- Guest characters.
There are only a very few characters from other franchises I'd like to see guest MK, and I doubt either one of them will ever do so. And therefore I'd rather there be none.

- The fact that the collectors editions are focused on Scorpion.
I'm never buying the collectors editions for any games, and this is one of the reasons why.

You keep talking about the "palette swap look" but I don't think you can honestly say that Scorpion or Sub-Zero look like each other now. The character attires have grown and developed. Yes, they look like "ninjas" but they are both unique and have many different things that not only set them apart from one another but also every past design they've had. I am starting to think you just don't want any ninjas in the game, considering what you said about Reptile a week or so ago. I get that people like what they like but really? Mortal Kombat without ANY ninjas at all? I can't see that going over well with a lot of people today.

You also seem to hate Ferra but we don't even know anything about them yet. We haven't seen their second fatality, alternate outfit, and most importantly, we don't know what their story is yet. I'm sorry Incubus but I really think you're jumping the gun on a lot of this stuff lately.

And you seem to jump down my throat whenever I post anything that seems remotely negative. XD
I am following the thread's main topic. These are the things I don't like from the point I wrote it. Feel free to do the same.

Lol Come on now, Incubus. You can't be serious. You know I don't have a problem with you at all. I even told you, I like debating with you because you have good points to make but when you jump the gun like this, I just feel the need to state my opinion. That's all it really is. I'm not trying to cut your head off for your opinion, just wondering if it is a bit too early to make an opinion on a character we don't know anything about. The ninja thing, though, is like...blasphemous in Mortal Kombat lol Damn you MK3!

And I just stated my opinion. I feel no need to debate it here in this thread though. That'll derail the main purpose of it.

No dash canceling
Interactables in every stage and almost every corner
Floaty jumps
Floaty characters

The lack of female characters, I want to see more badass females. And I'll be disappointed if Shinnok is not the main villain, I hope to see him as the main villain in the game after MKX if he wasn't the big boss in MKX.

The only thing I dislike about the game is a lot of the fans' reactions to a crap ton of stuff that has been released. There's so many to list so I'm just gonna be vague and say that it's a lot of stuff.

I don't have a lot of complaints. I guess I'm not the biggest fan of stage weapons... that's probably the one thing I really don't like too much.

Everything else is just wishlist stuff, like I wish Chess Kombat would come back, Chess Kombat was awesome.

That would be way too much work, and I would imagine the quality of the storylines would be low and way too short. The chapter build is fine imo

1) Kano the human traffic light

THIS SO MUCH!!! Kano is like my fave new revamp, his combos and moves look brutal. but his Laser variation with the RED is the only one that looks good and will probably be my most used one, even though I probably prefer his Commando variation which has the crappy yellow light.

Well on the plus side it looks like the dev team wasn't fond of the "traffic light" talk going around for Kano either. Looks like they changed the yellow variation to blue. Speculation on my part but it looks to be the case in this pic:

Bad news, you guys will still deal with his variations not all having the red laser. Again, this is just my speculation.

Oh I found so funny the "human traffic light"

Sorry, there is something I HATED:

their treatment with last-gen consoles.

Seriously, if you are going to handle your work to another enterprise and say that your work you don't take any limit, in other words, it's not NRS responsability at all if the game sucks, just don't do it for last-gen.

Besides that, I loved everything.

I agree about that.
Probably I'm going to buy the PS3 Komplete Edition version of the game and I really hope it doesnt differ from the PS4 version. The difference between the graphics are quite obvious though, and that is no problem to me. I can't afford to spend so much cash to just play one game. I'm glad that there's the last-gen releases.

Until now there are a few things that I don't like about MKX:

- the variations system - for me it would be better to include all the different combos and specials in one. Sure, it wouldn't be so much stuff but IMO the characters would be much more consistent

- Ermac's 'floating stance' - it's completely unnecessary, and it looks weird when he crouches

- the 2D stages - after MK2011 I was hoping they'd come up with an idea of the stages in 3D, of course in a different way than MKDA-MKA, I'm pretty sure that with current technology they would apply a solution that would satisfy most of the fans

Character variations WILL ruin the game. Mark my words. NRS can't balance one set of a roster, let alone 3. Stage interactions too. They don't need these bullshit gimmicks. Theres a reason folk still play SF4, the core game is solid. No nonsense. MK doesn't need all this gobbledygook added. It's weak attempts at innovation.

Have you seen the interview about PS3/Xbox360? Not souding good...

I already checked PS4 prices. Dude, the guy was like "I don't care about last gen looking shit".

Yeah I've heard that and it doesn't look promising.

I'm a patient guy, will see how it looks like, I still hope it's not THAT bad :D
