Injustice: Gods Among Us Weekly Matchups Promotion Announced

To prepare gamers for the upcoming release of Injustice: Gods Among Us Warner Brothers Interactive has announced a weekly match up promotion that will pit the roster of characters from the game against one another, the victor decided by fan vote.


Injustice: Gods Among Us is an upcoming fighting game from Netherrealm Studios that will pit some of DC Comics’ most iconic characters against one another in brutal one-on-one combat. Heavy hitters like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman have all made the cut for the next ten weeks fans will be able to decide who wins one-on-one match ups in a new promotion.

Each week a new match up will be announced via a video with “the skills, attributes and technology of the week’s competing DC Comics warriors” as well as “man-on-the-street and celebrity experts explaining which character in the battle has earned their vote.” Fans will then have until Thursday to vote for their favorite at injustice.dccomics.com.

Yeah I noticed that as well, C-Sword seems to be under the impression it's Bane and Catwoman though so who knows...

It's private because they don't want people to see it yet. Every online site does this with their videos/articles. So that they can just flip a switch when it's time to show it. It will likely be shown some time today in the next couple of hours.
 
Rigo Cortes just posted on twitter that they're having technical issues, my bad for posting this too early, it might be Bane Vs Batman and not Catwoman

Yeah, Batman vs. Bane makes sense given that it's the example Hector said in the interview. Plus TDKR, and the history of the two characters etc. Should make for a good debate.
 
Announcement has been delayed until tomorrow, NRS is giving us a concept art for Bane's primary costume instead
 
hints of doctor fate have been dropped on boon's twitter as well. a blurry character picture who's color scheme matches doctor fate. then, he posted a youtube video titled no FATE but what we make.

This picture might be from the reveal of the whole match-up campaign, the Battle Arena. The first match-up might really be Batman vs. Bane, the name of the video even is "Injustice bla bla: Batman vs. ..."

Anyone else see Doomsday @:43 on the first vid. As if the fight stick didn't confirm it already lol.
 
I got my free skin :), but the avatar/theme isn't working for me... it gave the option for PS3 so I figured it was a valid offer (even though it just shows xbox stuff) oh well at least I got something.

Also I think this is a weak version of the same stuff SFxT tried to do to build hype only they have better interviews, but lamer host.
