Well let's not forget there's Kitana but I agree, from what we know so far, we absolutely need more female characters in the roster. No one likes a sausage fest.

Mileena was a biological clone of Kitana kreated by Shang Tsung in that timeline as well, as first documented by both characters' endings in MK2.

Li Mei: Yes. She was in Raiden's MK9 ending along with Kenshi. She is also the only "hero" originating from Outworld, next to Bo Rai Cho.
Shinnok: Absolutely. He's gonna be necessary to the story. But only as a boss.
Nightwolf: I liked Knightwolf. As a DLC, yes. As far as to main roster, definitely in MK11.

Yeah, i know, but Kitana didn't know about it until the ending of MK2. We know she and Mileena worked together and both believed they were twin sisters. I still have that comic that told their history.

Li Mei - Sure. She's one of the few 3D era females I'd be willing to give another shot.
Shinnok - Absolutely. I really do hope he's one of the big bads in MKX. Otherwise what was the point of MK9's ending? Why build him up and then bury him without ever giving him another chance to shine?
Nightwolf - Nope. The only time I ever liked him was when he sacrificed himself to kill Sindel. I will not be robbed of that moment! Grr arg and stuff.

Shinnok : Yes. I think it´s pretty much clear he´ll be in. The only question is if playable or not. He never got a chance to shine, with the movesets he was given, so i hope for him to be bad-ass in this one.

Li Mei: No, there are a ton of female characters that deserve to be in this game. Li Mei isn't one of them.
Shinnok: Yes. Cool moveset, pretty unique character. Not to mention the MK9 ending, he definitely deserves to be in.

Li Mei - No. Too bland.
Shinnok - I'd like to see him only as a cameo, but i think we don't need him playable, so no.
Nightwolf - I like his design and powers, but he can sit out this time. No.

A couple tricky choices in this one.
Kai - Maybe. It absolutely depends on what they do with him in terms of design and moves. Another good guy champion isn't really necessary (there's Kung Lao, Kitana is pretty much a White Lotus fighter after joining Raiden's side, and we have a bunch other good guys) but I guess it they remake him more awesome than ever like they did Kano and Kitana I'd be cool with it.
Liu Kang - Maybe. I don't want MK9 Liu Kang, that guy dying was the ultimate price Raiden had to pay and reviving him like that is lame and ruins the sense of sacrifice. If he comes back as some awesome vengeful fire God to be a boss or something, that could be nice.
