Tryning to guess who will be the final boss...

I agree, Evil Kang can be way more interesting to watch, maybe they also can update his moveset this way, cause aside from parry move in MK9 and dragon tail in vsDC, poor champ didn't get any new special since MK2

Why cant they just stick with Shinnok like it was going to be?

Shinnok my still be attached to the game. I mean, Shang Tsung was the big bad in MK1 - but not in MK9.

I'm sure Shinnok will have some sort of pull on the story... And if not, I would find that to be very sloppy on Netherrealm's part as they did set him up at the end of MK9. Ed never said it WASN'T Shinnok.

Shinnok I have a feeling will be in the game. This is due to the fact that the game doesn't immediately jump 25 years after MK9, as Ed confirmed 100% in the Gamespot stream, we will be playing over a number of years eventually ending at 25.

The only thing with Liu Kang is he was playable in MK9 and if he comes back as the bad guy then he can't grow 6 inches and gain massive muscle. How could they justify making him an unplayable boss? The final boss should almost always be unplayable IMO. Superman and Bison have been notable exceptions. Playable bosses bother me.

He should be playable, unlockable i should say, why the hell not.
Final boss must be harder, not cheaper. Liu Kang being a boss can use a big enough jump in difficulty (like if sub boss is 50% difficulty, boss should be 75%) and bigger life meter (like Shang Tsung did in MK9).

I don't really like that idea, sorry. Wraith Liu Kang can be a character. I'd rather the One Being, in some form, was the final boss. The 6 Kamidogu and Shinnok's Amulet are required to awaken him. So we aren't that far off. Liu Kang would have no reason to be the One Being either.

Oh good God, Liu Kang as the One Being?

That would be the worst thing to ever happen to Mortal Kombat.

Im pretty sure its gonna be Shinnok but you never know. But i am starting to be fond of an Evil Liu Kang as end boss. Although i would not be apposed to Onaga making a return.

or what if, since the game will have a 25 yr span, there will be multiple Big Bad Bosses

How you like them apple!?

You have nothing to sorry for, since everyone have a right on their own opinion on anything.

Leave Kamidogu thing alone, i had enough of this BS fighting Onaga in Deception.

Didnt Shang Tsung say something in MK9 about Mileena being the rightful heir to the throne of Outworld? Would be interesting to see her at the helm, but I dont think shes final boss material, plus she never had a major role.

Probably Liu Kang. The elder gods mightve made him the new protector of Earthrealm due to how poorly of a job Raiden did. He goes mad like in his MK9 ending and acts similar to Dark Raiden.

That was Baraka. Shang Tsung rebutted it by pointing out that Mileena only exists because of his sorcery, perhaps making a case for his own claim to the Outworld throne.

I wouldn't want him to be playable if he's the boss. He doesn't have to be bigger either, althought his size in MK9 was large enough. Instead of being slow and powerful, like Shao Kahn, he could be fast and powerful with ridiculous combos that are hard to break out of. That's the kind of challenge they could make with him.

As far as Shinnok, I agree. It would be nice to see him play the kind of role Shang Tsung did. Not the main threat but contributes to it. And also make him playable of course. I miss Shinnok.

But why would you want them to tell a story you're expecting. I mean sure, it'd be alright if Shinnok was a part of it but him being the big bad would be kind of expected/disappointing. I mean, I wouldn't want them to tell the story of MK4 again.

Liu Kang would be the only playable Boss I would ever want.

This is why I'm conflicted over wanting him as a Boss, because if they make him playable, chances are he won't be a strong, overpowered cheap douche bag that I consider a staple for MK bosses.

The MKD story arc was the best NRS had to offer storywise till now, atleast for me. It is quite a lot of potential to be developed in the altered timeline, I just hope NRS sees their past gems and tap into that potential.
