Tryning to guess who will be the final boss...

its gonna be liu kang, boon said we will be surprised, will every one be surprised if its shinnok like some people are saying, no we wont be surprised, we will be if its kang.

That never stopped NRS from putting similar characters in the same game (cough*Frost*cough).

Also Ed Boon said that there would be "aged characters" in the PlayStation stream, and he even let it slip about Cassie Cage doing fatalities on family members in MK X, in the GiantBomb video (start at the 4:10 mark).
50 year old Johnny or Sonya isn't out of the realm of possibility.

That's not my point, lol. I didn't mean that I think Johnny and Sonya won't be in the game.

I meant I doubt the Johnny in his MK9 ending would be getting it on with Sonya, as strict as he becomes in his ending, meaning I doubt Johnny would be the final boss. I'm thinking Liu Kang like a lot of others.
 
I know there are a lot of fans of Deception, but that entire era needs to be forgotten. Cherry pick the best elements from MK4 and then go into original content. The storyline starting at DA and beyond is not that good. I want to see something fresh, not another re- imagining of previous stories.
 
^^^Hmm that does seem like a possibility and definitely goes along the lines of 'unexpected returning character'. Now I'm trying to wrap my head around what that could be like.
 
if not liu kang, maybe daegon?.. or reiko, he was shao kahn's general??? or maybe cyber zombie freddy krueger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Just guessing by the timeline, Cassie was probably conceived during the events of MK 2011. By the end of MKX 25 years have past. That's plenty of time for Johnny Cage to go nuts and be turned evil by his newfound powers. I think Johnny Cage as the big bad is not out of the realm of possibility, but I still think it will be Liu Kang.
 
Yeah, but after all these jokes in MK9, he is out of the realm of seriousness. Many fans will not take him as final boss.
 
Generally speaking, I'd actually want a female boss this time but I don't see it happening in this game for some reason.

Johnny Cage as a villain is one of the worst ideas yet. I don't know why people took his MK9 ending as him being setup for a potential villain.

Reiko and Rain both wanted to rule in their endings in different games(I'd guess Reiko over rain though)
I wanna see zombie liu Kang. I'm pretty sure since all earth realms heroes that died before Shao Kahn did, were promised to Quan Chi or Nether realm, this is a real possibility. I could see some real kick ass combos with those chains and hooks!
Quan Chi is like everyone's undoing in mk. I'm pretty sure he could be the bad guy. Note that he'll never give Shinnok his amulet. I'm pretty sure he'll give him a fake. Like his ending in mk4. Since he's been the undoing of Shao Kahn with Shinnoks help of suggesting the elder gods are but worms with false threats. and a major bad guy in Deadly Alliance. My guess is him.
Maybe Shang Tsung.
Another I'm guessing could be Havik, put a little chaos is there.
I don't think Onaga will be in this one. Not yet or maybe see how he comes back and then he's the bad guy for the next game.
Ive seen people mention the one being... He's not a returning character that's been in a game. So no lol

A female boss would be very cool. Someone along the lines of Sindel but could feel like a boss fight. I don't think people would like that though. This might be a silly comparison (lol) but look at Zoul from Ghost Busters. Some women like that who is terrifying and powerful.
