Ok, so Aldo asked this question in the sign up thread and I didn't get a chance to respond before it was locked, so I'll answer here.

Basically, TRMK forums as we know it today began circa Aug 2004. Before that, the forums did not exist for a little over a year. The reason why the forums went down in 2003 has been lost to history. Anyway, I was actually a member prior to that cataclysm, and was way more significant a part of the kommunity than I appear to be now. (Hence my frequent "excuse me sonny" attitude). Anyway, I could tell so much more, but the admins barely acknowledge that period's existence and wish you would all just accept the belief that this site was created in 2004. So, I won't rock the boat.

I'm not so sure about that. It's not like they just picked one or picked two in the same battle... a lot of people voted correctly but just didn't vote in one or two of the battles... Maybe they didn't want to vote in a battle where they didn't really have an opinion?

Also, many people including myself seem to have made the decision not to vote in their own battle rather than vote for their opponent. Makes sense to me.
