Top 10 worst Mortal Kombat Kharacters

I said it before and I'll say it again, Kobra would be one of the best MK characters if they stuck with the idea of a Ken rip off. Hadoukens and Shoryus included.
 
I can't agree with that statement more lp. Kobra could show what Mk could do with the SF characters if they had the chance.

I guess 7 out of 32 isn't bad.

Not really.
Jarek was a full force clone in MK4, and for all that trouble, they should have just put Kano in MK4.
 
Moot point. Jarek was a clone of a character of the same series.
Kobra could be a clone of an entirely different franchise, but at the same time he'd be a fresh character.

Actually, I kinda agree with you on that. It would be funny if they made him a parody of the Street Fighter series, kinda like how Dan was originally created as a parody of various SNK fighting games.

How is it a moot point?
Regardless of being from the same series or another series, a copy/paste clone is still a copy/paste clone, and it's unoriginal.
Being a full-fledged clone from another game is probably worse, as people would say that "NRS isn't being creative" or "NRS has to borrow from other series to be successful," and I'd completely agree with that sentiment if Kobra was a 100% Ken copy.

Being a clone of an entirely different character would just be that, A CLONE.

I don't see why they can't get creative, now that they have a shit-ton of disposable income from WB, and just create NEW characters with a new concept.
 
i dont really like kobra at all but why does everyone think he is a ken rip off? like besides having similar hair what is he ripping off from ken? i think theyre completely different.

like raidens not ripping off blanka for having ligtning powers.
kanos not ripping off sagot because of his eye.

10) Sheeva (her MK9 ending saved her from being higher up on the list, though)
9) Frost (complete copycat of Sub-Zero)
8) C/Khameleon (get your own damn movelist for once)
7) Mokap (Wasted roster spot that could've gone to someone like Baraka)
6) Motaro (He belongs in the Glue Factory)
5) Havik (This character makes as much sense as Charles Manson eating Froot Loops on your front porch)
4) Kobra (Ken Masters copycat to the point where his beta name was in fact "Ken Masters")
3) Rain (Prince sucks! Purple Rain sucks! Enough said!)
2) Hsu Hao (Not even story writer John Vogel liked him, so what does THAT tell you?)

And the absolute worst character in the history of Mortal Kombat is...


MILEENA! And despite her star power, the reason Mileena tops this list is because she is a slut!

I agree with BBBLP, that he has similarities and he's not a 100% knock-off, but if he was a 100% knock-off it would be even worse.

I agree with 60% of your list.

- Motaro is a classic boss, and it's a shame that NRS couldn't get it right to put him in (He could have been amazing in MK9, if done right).
- Havik was probably one of the FEW characters that were original and made sense during the Deception era (A new facelift for Havik in MK10 would be good)

Havik could benefit in MK10 from the Sheeva and Stryker treatment in MK9.

The fact that NRS dressed ALL the women in MK9 slutty???

Prior to MK9, Mileena was never THAT skimpy, and to be honest, ALL of the ladies in MK9 could have had a little more cloth covering, but a large portion of people up the game are males in the 18 to 35 age range, and they wouldn't have minded much either way.

I almost forgot about 1 other character that should die forever:

Cyber Sub-Zero

He and Frost should die at the same time in MK10.
Maybe Reiko can kick them both into a volcano, and they can be gone for good. ;)

I feel the same way about Human Sub-Zero, but apparently no one gives a shit about him either.

My opinion of you, is that you don't understand good character development if it hit you in the face. I don't like old people fighting. but I like Shujinko because he has great character development.

You're right, it isn't that big of a deal, it just really ticks me off to see people shun Shujinko the way they do

@Araknyd- What makes you say that? Lol plenty of people still care about Human Sub-Zero, myself included

I just want to see NRS at least finish what they started with Cyber Sub-Zero
 
Shujinko has nice story, but his gameplay is the worst gameplay of a MK character, ever.

Those people are probably judging of gameplay.

I don't like him, but I don't mind him.

I just never PLAYED as him as a choice. I'd rather use Mokap.
