This game blows.

Online =/= the actual game

The game is splendiferous, and online shouldn't change that. It's a shame how people dedicate entire games solely to online multiplayer.

I think its fun :(

*crickets*

I agree brother lol.

Spam doesn't bother me. I see it as a error of my playing abilities. If I lose to it. I go into training mode to figure out a way around it. And by spam I don't mean 1 move. I can learn how to beat one move REALLY fast. When I say spam. I mean when someone rotates low/overhead/special/jump/teleport or w/e where it creates a 50/50 or a 33/33/33 And I just guess wrong. I look at it as my inability to read my opponent well/and or punish hard enough. I got empty hop grabbed 4 times in one match the other day. That's my fault for not trying hard to read their tricks, and avoid it next time.

Part of the fun for me is to figure out ways around gimmicks. Once I figure that out... I don't ever have to worry about it ever again.

Most of the time I get Good games, or I beat the crap out of someone. Or I get destroyed by some crazy mind games. meaning.. most of my games are good minus the ones where I beat the crap out of someone because these are usually the "spammers" people complain about. I recognize them really fast and I don't rematch. Thus I find a good game faster.

I do offline tournaments at my house. Keeps it fun, sorta like the old school nostalgia arcade feel. I've prolly played online twice. Whooped a bunch of people in KoH, and got d/c. Then I just decided I wasn't going to play online anymore. I love the game. I just don't play online.

Unfortunately the internet brings people together like never before, from all walks of life and from almost every location and what do we discover? That a large chunk of the people will be utter scumbags to anyone they think they can get away with it and the anonymous internet facilitates people thinking they can act this way because they are hidden. It reveals humanity at it's greatest.....

This may or may not make you feel better, but I am one of the many who has never been able to even play this game online (I can play both SF and Tekken), something in their netcoding just doesn't quite work. So I haven't even been able to experience the rage you're feeling. Pros and cons to that I'm sure, but from my point of view, at least you were able to get annoyed. :)

I've spent my fair share of time playing this game online. I have to say, I'm ****ing through with it. I'm completely over this whole game. All it has been is a complete disappointment since day 1.

The community in the chatrooms of this game is probably one of the most foul, disgusting, low-life, scummy communities ever assembled. Almost everyone is a complete *******. Everyone is out to exploit this game, and exploit the chatroom with your loss. It's completely disgusting. The anonymity of the internet really turns people into incredibly disgusting beings. If they're not spamming you in a match, they're spamming the chat with some racist, salty, ********.

Almost everyone I have fought either picks Scorpion, Smoke or Raiden (or just counter picks to who I pick),and spams some ******** at me(no, I'm not pissed off because it "works" because just about 80% of the time, it does NOT work). If they DON'T by chance do that, they pick a broken ass character(like Cyrax) and do the latest TylerLantern or Check4900 70% combo on me. And no, you don't always have breakers on hand to deal with this shit. It's becoming increasingly ****ing annoying and a complete waste of time.

Honestly, what is the point in dedicating myself to becoming really good at this game if it's broken as **** like it is? What pisses me off more is how excited I was to become proficient at this game before it's release. I was HYPED. Couldn't wait. But honestly, Armageddon was less of a disappointment (and I think we all know how big of a pile of shit that was..). Anyways, I'm through with this iteration. Back to playing whatever else I can get my hands on until Rage comes out. There's no point. I'm shelving this ********. Permanently.

How many of you guys are finished with this shit too?

PS- I am in no way done with TRMK. I love these forums.
I'm with you too, TRMK is awesome, but I'm tired of the game unless I'm playing with a friend.

Hating the game aint gonna change it it's still a fighting game, and there will always be people who are overused. All you gotta do is choose an unpopular character and learn to kick ass and troll all the spammers and scrubs.

I hate when people judges a game only because of the online feature, I hate that in this times online is so much important, I enjoy campaigns a lot more (in MK, ladder mode), thanks to this now the companies make campaigns shorter each game (Im looking at you ActiVision *COD*).

There was a time when Internet and Videogames had no relation, and games were more enjoyable and longer, that was way better.

Ill say f*** online, the game is much more than that.

I troll with Stryker lol but still it's suckish

I get bored on and off with the game (not just online, I mean the game in general). I usually play it for a bit and then start another game or two until I am no longer bored of MK.

But online is awesome!

If you sift through all the shit, you can actually find great players.

Thats how I found Man Eater.
Man Eater kicked my Sektor's ass.

With that snaggle toothed ***** Mileena!

I'm pretty sure it's already been said already, but I'll reiterate:

Cool story bro.

Cyrax reset is being taken out, youre not supposed to have a breaker all the time it's a risk and a judgement call that can decide the entire match, and I thought every community has it's share of d-bags? And I disagree about it being broken: this is the fairest fighting game I've played (from the litle I have lol)

This game is much better offline anyway, lag ruins alot of things

Touche...

Online sucks, sucks asses, but the game is still awesome. I dont bother in playing online anymore, offline ftw.

Hell yeah bro. Brofist!

Unfortunately, online has become such an important and amazing (theoretically xD) feature, that you CAN judge most games on it alone. The cod series is a perfect example. I love playing with other people, it makes the game less hacker-botty, but that's ruined by foul-mouthed 12 year olds and internet tough guys. So I turn off the mics, it's going good, then I run into hackers (not sure how many are on the ps3, but I've noticed a few) and I put up with that. Then there are the games actual flaws such as: terrible hit boxes (at times), that running up knifing bs, and so on. So all together, it makes me wonder why I bought the ****in' thing in the first place -.- cod:bo's only saving grace is offline/splitscreen zombie mode...

As for this game, I've stopped quite a while ago. The input delay really pisses me off and beating a spammer isn't fun. I had a guy spamming Sektor's tele the whole match and I punished every single one! Did he stop, noooooooooooo, just kept on doing it, (wtf?). Then there are the spamming wars when I'm Baraka and the fast-paced nature of the game slows to a grinding halt and I get so damn bored...

aww man. no offense but people like you hurt my feelings. you shouldn't give up on a game just because you fight douchebagz. there's douchebagz in everygame...fps' with there camping shit, mmo's with the hacking shit and fighters with the spamming shit. you can't avoid it. its going to happen. its actually people like this that make me so addicted to mk. they think their so good with their tylerlanturn combos or the spam in chat and ingame. but when I beat them, I get a pleasure from it because I know I hurt their salty because I was better than them and didn't succumb to their ********. and I know their salty because they come back at you with the "fags" and "no life" ********. I just laugh it off. I have over 1000w and a little more than 200l in player matches and I'm undefeated in tag rank and most of those fights are the same scrubs you and everyone run into. but yea man...don't let people like this ruin your mk experience. this is cleary the best mk to date so don't miss out on this experience. and if all else fails...you can add people like me, dcp and gurrimjaw on psn. we fight fair, no lag, no spam, no drama.

I agree to a certain agree Fox... but since I actually don't care about fighting computers... because they repeat the same reactions to your actions most of the time. As in computers never adapt.

I made this thread a few months back that got no love.

I basically expressed online. has killed peoples want/need to travel and play together.

SSBM was offline only... and people traveled to play all the time. It was SOOOOO much more fun in person.

Now MK... because of online I feel alot of people don't feel the need to travel to satisfy their competitive spirit. So tournaments are suffering. AKA the act of people gathering together to have fun together.
