Street Fighter X Tekken

Im sorry **** this, im boycotting Capcom, the on disk day one DLC is a slap in the face. Its a shame some people will waste money on it. Its also a shame how the Game markets becoming.

Capcom has confirmed that 12 new fan-favorite characters will be available as Downloadable Content (DLC) on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of Street Fighter X Tekken later this year. The playable characters will make their debut on the PS Vita system when the game is released this fall, with the console and PC versions receiving them as DLC soon after. The character information and files were intentionally included on retail versions of the PS3 and Xbox 360 game to save hard drive space and to ensure for a smooth transition when the DLC is available, allowing players who choose not to purchase the content the ability to play against players that did. More specifics regarding pricing, dates and other additional exciting DLC plans for Street Fighter X Tekken will be shared at a later date. As a reminder, the retail version of the game will be the only disc-based version consumers will need to own and all future upgrades will come from post-launch DLC. The new characters fighting their way onto Street Fighter X Tekken are... from the Street Fighter side... Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy and Sakura will be playable and from Tekken... Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack, Lars Alexandersson and Lei Wulong will all be available.

even though Capcom pisses on fans to make money I'm still buying the game in 7 hours!

Hell no! I'll wait three hours and buy the super arcade mega complete edition that comes with the super secret one extra pixel added to ryu's nose for 15 dollars more then the original used. :monkee:
 
I do understand why they'd put the DLC data on the disc instead of relying on compatibility packs, first not everyone is going to download them, not to mention that those packs don't guarantee everything will work properly online.

So yeah, I'll buy this tomorrow :p
 
I think everyone should boycott and maybe capcom will learn to not re-release another upgraded version again.
It could all start here folks.

But I am tempted to try this out. SF characters look like a copypasta, but I wanna see what they can actually do with the Tekken characters. But no, I will wait for the re release
 
What re-release? Do you really believe that they'll add more fighters after those 12? If you are really that worried, don't buy the game yet, they'll probably release a komplete edition of it a year later like another company did, so you won't have to pay for DLC.

Capcom's repeated for like the fifth damn time that this won't have any disc-only updates, and yet people still think that overused-ass joke applies to this game

It's about as annoying as people who still think Justin Bieber/Rebecca Black/Kanye West jokes are funny

This is capcom so you can't really take them at their word.

They said that with SF4, but what happened?

Super SF4, Super SF4 AE, but they did give a free update to the arcade edition (Super SF4 AE: 2012)

We can't really trust capcom anymore now. On disc DLC, buying unlockable characters and Gems.. what's next paying to unlock online play?
 
It's funny how some people hate re-releases and disc only updates, but have been begging for UMK9, so MK9 doesn't have all the stages from the first 3 games, big deal. Arc System Works is much worse than Capcom if you ask me, they just released the 4th version of BlazBlue, they add 1 character and call it a new game lol.

Umm, no, I'm pretty sure if they have to reiterate something OVER and OVER, that's a pretty ****ing obvious hint that they're not lying about it. STFU with the "disc-only update" horseshit, it's NOT HAPPENING FOR THIS GAME, gotdamn. Stop being hardheaded and worry about more important stuff, like whether this game is actually gonna be good or not

Chill man :)

I could careless if they did a disc only update or DLC is on the disc. If you're a true fan of the game you wouldn't give two shits and buy the game and no one is forcing you to buy the other version. So why complain when you could just simply not buy it.
