Yeah, this is going to suck something fierce. Not surprisingly, it's not being screened for critics, so I guess we'll have to wait for the release to get the full scoop on just to what degree it shreds your insides.

The only potentially redeeming feature of it will be Robin Shou as Gen, but I hope they actually try and make him look old, not of this CHow Yun-Fat/Master Roshi bullshit.
But whereas SF only featured Ryu and Ken as minor characters, this film doesn't even have them in it! No Sagat, Akuma, Blanka or anything. Aside from Chun-Li it's just the boring characters. And then there was the "Hmm, we need a muscular black guy and can't be bothered to think of one, let's just hire Duncan." move that gets him all of his roles. Nope, I will not see this.
EDIT: No, they didn't make him look old. Epic fail.
 
I actually like SF2: The Animated Movie, but I finally saw SF Alpha in its entirety not too long ago and didn't care for it much (I was relieved when that little kid finally died, but it happened too late to make any difference). Then there's that SF2: V series, or whatever it's called, which I mostly just found tedious and time consuming, although it could have been good if they sped up the action. I'm not in any way a fan of anime, though, so my opinion probably doesn't count.
 
At least MK has one decent live action movie anyway, if that's the only thing we've got over Street Fighter.
 
I'd never give this movie any credit by ever watching it. Besides, the old campy live-action film with Van Damme was awesome. In a terrible kind of way.
