still no stage fatalities confirmed yet ??

They already confirmed there wont be stage fatalities. There ARE however stage brutalities which are the successor to stage fatalities.

When was this? I'm not saying you are wrong, I've just been paying very close attention to every interview etc for this game and haven't seen stage fatalities mentioned once.

To me, the only finisher I think is a main stay in the MK franchise is Fatalities. We had Stage Fatalities in MK9, so it's alright they don't have it in MKX. The same with Babalities. Instead we get Brutalities, Faction Kills and apparently something called Stage Brutalities. Oh, and Quitalities, if you want to count that in. :P
I think that's a fair trade.

I actually really like brutalities and would love to them continue on in future instalments of the franchise. They seem fun as hell.

So...Stage Brutalities = Brutality input code + Environmental Attack. That's still just a regular brutality.

What's a Stage Brutality then?

You probably just perform the brutality in a certain area of the arena and it will do a stage fatality instead. I am going to assume this is so some stages can have multiple stage fatalities. You do one in one corner, one fatality. One in the middle, another fatality. One in the other corner, another fatality

I think that's more than likely what will happen. For example, in the dead woods where you can smash a branch against the opponents face, the brutality face would be hitting the opponent in the face repeatedly, turning them into a bloody pulp.

I'm not sure how I will feel about stage brutalities. Since it's a stagnant camera, I feel like they may be a little less exciting than the cinematics we get from fatalities.

Since characters have their own brutalities, when I heard the word stage brutalities, I immediately thought of what Scorpion did to Subs at the end of the announcement trailer. Was that an early hint?? It's a long shot, but it kind of makes sense.. at least in my head lol

Sounds to me where stage fatalities are something you trigger at the end like a fatality. Stage brutalities will be mid or near the ned of a match. Hopefully this means something similar to those awesome stage traps in the 3D games. Maybe they just haven't shown stages that have those yet?

We may not see them or be confirmed

I believe on the recent stream Tyler stated, they may not confirm somethings bc they want it to be a surprise. Even though Stage Fatalities arent new...they are wanted by the masses, so they might be an Easter egg fatality right now!

Well to be fair, the original MK pit was kind of a brutality, since you did it with an uppercut instead of a input.

Im hoping that perhaps there are multiple ones on the same stage depending where you are.

Whatever they may be, I doubt they would just leave them out. IRRC, the only games to not have stage fatalities were Deadly Alliance (which they said they didnt include because they ran out of time) and MK vs. DC. Every other game has had some sort of Stage Fatality

What's a Stage Brutality then?
My guess is the same as Brutalities, only triggered by a stage interactable.

An example would be beating someone to death with Blanche, or baseball-batting someone's head off with the tree branch in the Dead Woods.

It would certainly make the stage interactables feel more MKish.

Stage Brutality gives me a bit of a vibe that MK1 had with the Pit. Just uppercut them and boom.

You know, I just realized that brutalities, stage brutatlities... this is NRS really trying to make an entrance into the pro-level tourney fighters proper. When it comes to tournies, fatalities don't matter and so MK is treated as KoF or Street Fighter with blood. But now, brutalities and stage brutatlities gives us quick finishers or finishers that don't interrupt the flow of the tourney. I kinda like the brutalities more than the finishers.

Uhm, that's actually really off.

Brutalities do have some sort of requirements that have to be done during the match in order to be triggered at the end of the match. And having such gameplay limiting requirements is something that is against the logic of tournaments, where you have to compete at the best of your abilities in order to win.
