Probably stays in his rock forever, considering Daegon got it from Kenshi according to his bio then again I wont be surprised if Taven gets offed in Kenshi ending wanting revenge for his brother as a way to put a permanent end to the Armageddon arc. Boon and co seem to be doing some house keeping by the looks of it
 
So apparently, there's another 3D character who has bitten the dust. Dunno if this is actually true or not, but:

As far as Shujinko's quest goes, I'm sure some changes will have occurred. Since Onaga was manipulating him, odds are Onaga would only let Shujinko end his quest once he was returned to his Dragon King glory and since Onaga isn't back I'm sure Shujinko's quest is probably not over yet either. But y'know Cassie kills him so...

And Ashrah was a serious low blow. Completely unnecessary to kill her off in such an off hand way

Many that were in Onaga's way in the Original Timeline are dead in this one, his revival should've went more smoothly and instead it didn't even happen.

I hope they're saving it for MK11.

Hopefully. If NRS decides to tell one singular plot, instead of shoving in several story arcs to make the story longer. I'm pretty sure MK9's story would have been better if the story had one focus and the spoilers tell me MKX has the same problem. The Outworld Civil war would have been a great plot for the entire game but it was ended around halfway through I think. So if Onaga does come back, I hope he's the main focus of the plot instead of being killed off anticlimactically or worse if he does die and pops back up because it's "surprising"

Yours got a cameo. And she's like she was in the old timeline. It might be a short appearance, but she's there. Shown to still be canon in the new timeline, not just being erased from the story off-screen like so many other characters.

And furthermore, she doesn't die. She made a mistake, Sub-Zero stopped her, and then we are left to speculate what happens next, but from what we see, she will most likely be disciplined by Sub-Zero and live to see another day. She's not getting offed like so many others, so there's even a chance we see her in future installments.

For now, we know she's alive, she's Lin Kuei and she's her undisciplined self from how we know her in the old timeline. I'm no Frost fan, but if I was, I'd consider that good news.

Now before I write this message, just so you know. I am replying with all respect to you.

It seems there is some kind of misunderstanding about Frost Fans. We are not that hungry for her that we would piss our pants in excitement from just seeing her(I am not speaking for all obviously, just the people I know). It also matters to us how she is portrayed.

You say that Jade is not even shown in game. Well it would really suck if she wasn't already in a previous game(s), played a huge part in story already and died while fighting. Not to mention you get to semi-play as her with Kitana "mournful" variation. That is executed beautifully. She is remembered as a good friend and a strong fighter and Kitana's variation serves as her "legacy"/"monument".

Frost on other hand is made into a f%cking joke. She already had bad image in original MK timeline, but with Raiden's interference with time, a lot of things changed. It created a huge butterfly effect. And somehow of all characters, Frost was the only character which wasn't affected. Not to mention in that scene, she is shown like some joke... and then fans think why Frost is considered Copy Paste. They didn't put any effort in her at all.

Oh she didn't get killed. Well how nice of them. I remember she also wasn't killed in Deadly Alliance and Deception. Just frozen into a ice cube. That's worse than death. Hell if Frost would have been killed that would at least shown as an act of mercy. But here? HAH. "Left to speculate". If she didn't change even now, what makes you think she will change after SubZero will "discipline her"? Just a reminder. Sub Zero tried to discipline/teach her in original timeline too. Look how that turned out.
 
They are completely wiping their asses with the 3d fans lol. Sucks because Shujinko was one of my favorites.

BBBLP, her appearance was AFTER the fight. Her appearance made sense because it gave Sub-Zero an excuse to show he wanted peace (by saving Scorpion, or something) so they could talk.

Yeah saw that scene now. Yeah... you know... they could have just shown her in background or... just could simply not included her in the game at all if they feel like that about her. I know they are developers, but I thought they kinda respected their fans passion. As I mentioned before it doesn't change my excitement over MKX. But when it comes to Frost. F%ck them. Seriously F%ck them. That was an insult to anyone who was expecting something DIFFERENT about her. Both design and her "cameo" are just a joke to piss on Frost fans. If other Frost fans enjoyed seeing her frozen into a ice cube and left like shit AGAIN. Then so be it.
 
I started playing with MK4 so I guess the 3D Era means as much to me as the Pre-MK4 Era means to just about everyone else.

The fact that they are disregarding previous chronology just because they want freedom to tell whatever story they want without even remembering the previous games.Some people did like those games, and some people's favorite characters were indeed in those games.

I'm surprised they even put Shinnok in this game, considering they forget completely about the timeline they've been working on for almost 20 years.
