Alright, No one is probably interested, but I felt I should mention, after doing a quick Tanya analysis, being an NPC, here's how she contributed to the story this time around (in mass detail):

-Tanya and Rain are co-op general ambassadors of the Rebellion army

-Tanya saved Kano's life, and KO'd kotal for a few seconds.
-Tanya and Kotal apparently have troubled history from the dialogue they switched together in chapter 2.
-Tanya and Rain were charged with protecting the amulet in the rebel camp.
-Tanya led the tarkatan rebellion attack in Outworld at Mileena's command.
-Tanya defeated Cassie Cage
-Tanya was about to be murdered along with Rain, but Cassie told D'vorah to let her and rain live.

That's about it for her. She just vanished after cassie let her and rain live.

yeah i see tanya and rain being playable next game if the next story invoves kitana want to take back ediena form outword and merge it with neathrealm

Like I said, Ferra & Torr only have 1 appearance, but you'll love it. It's more memorable than Erron's four appearances combined, or Reptile and Ermac's three (a piece). Ferra sounds adorable when she speaks Torr's language.

It's the Kung Jin scene right? I thought it was decent, but would have liked to see some compassion between the two. Show that they actually care about eachother, if they do at all.

Does Tanya's role in the story mode compensate for how much they've messed up her look? I really want to like her, but I just can't get over how they've stripped her off her identity.

Also whoever suggested Kitana trying to merge Netherealm and Edenia in MK11 - I think that sounds awesome. I'd love to see a role reversal where Raiden swoops in to bring Sindel back to life and this time around she tries to pull Kitana back to the good side.
 
Though one thing I do wonder,
Why did Cassie have D'vorah let Tanya and Rain live, but let D'vorah kill others?
I believe it's because they're setting up places for Tanya and Rain in the next game.
I don't think it makes any sense that she stood by and let D'vorah kill others, but demanded that she did not kill Tanya and Rain.
It's pieced together a bit.

It's no major role, but she does contribute to the story a lot more than people will give her credit for.
She was responsible for Shinnok coming to power in the original MK4 timeline, and she was responsible for Mileena coming to rebellion power in this timeline.
I think they're seriously paving the way for an Edenian MK plot. They really made sure to have Tanya and Rain shine in this game for some reason.

What's so different about her? Her hair is shorter (whoopty-doo) and she has a different costume (like most of the cast).

Wait a tick... Is this about her lighter skin? We're not debating this. Nope. Not here.

Well, it comes across in their win pose and round win pose, but I agree that it would have been cool to see more.

There's nothing Cassie's team could have done for Mileena.

Cassie is shown to have her wits about her regarding the potential for inter-realm war. Ordering D'Vorah around is one thing. Defying an emperor is a whole other.

I would love to see that too! Maybe Sindel and Jade come back in MK11 to stop Kitana from merging Edenia with the Netherrealm. What does Liu Kang do then? Is he basically Kitana's bodyguard? I don't see a point for him in the story at this point. He's kind of just there now.

Who else did she kill when Cassie was around? Mileena? She couldn't really stop that.

here the ting raiden dark raiden now so does he even care about the other dead revents not probally not but sindel could come back and join kitana in her quest to gain ediena back and merge it with neathrrealm

Nah it's not just the lighter skin that gets on my non existent tits - it's the facial features as well. I can honestly say if it hadn't have been for her name on the reveal trailer, I wouldn't have known it was her. The only part of her that says 'Tanya' is her wearing yellow. But I do love the sassy attitude she's got. She don't give a sh!t and I like that
 
I guess I'm just being too paranoid when I'm thinking of the whole D'vorah scene. I'll let it go for now.

Well, that's pretty incorrect. She still has the same facial features besides the white eyes and skin, and thank god for that. I wanted her sweet MK4 eyes back.
I still love Tanya even if they made her fat as hell and asian. I love her for her character, not for her design. She could be a drumstick with a yellow bra and I'd still be known as Tanya's husband.

To be fair, Tanya's only defining physical characteristics in past games were that she wears yellow and black, and is a black woman. I think they are batting a thousand in regards to that.
