Mostly. She gets hit by an arrow at one point, but it doesn't kill her. That's all I saw, but they're only in a ~20 second cutscene before the fight. Torr doesn't speak at all, though, he just grunts.

The more I see of Kotal, the more I like him. He really is portrayed (at least so far) as a wise but firm ruler; he values honour very highly and does not tolerate thievery or dishonesty. He is definitely what I'd call 'neutral' so far, rather than any sort of dictator. Obviously there's still time for things to change, but he's already a much more three dimensional character than Shao Kahn ever was. It seems his goal is to defeat Mileena's rebellion and restore order to Outworld (i.e. unify it) rather than go on a conquering spree.

On what we've seen so far, he is undoubtedly the best 'new' character the MK series has ever had. Even including Shinnok and Quan Chi, those characters were only really interesting later on, as Quan Chi has had several games to 'grow' as a character, and Shinnok was rubbish in MK4 despite his potential. I have no idea what will happen to Kotal, but I hope he is a series regular hereon.

Seems to be a review copy or broken street date, it's the actual game for sure.

EDIT: Stream's apparently back... Somewhere. Can't find it.

How great does Li Mei look though? I was worried from the storymode trailer about her looking old, but she looks great now as well

I thought she looked 'old' in the face, as in ~40ish. Not actually old, but old by the standards of fighting games.
 
Someone mentioned this on TYM. Could be nothing, but could be something:

'When he pressed triangle on the character select, one of the options was random select. Although it also said random select when he scrolled over the question mark box.. So either there are two ways to do random select, or the box gets changed when you unlock a secret character'

Can't confirm if that's true or not.

Sorry to bombard you with questions but this will be the last: Does Ferra get hit in the head with the arrows and does she just pull it out when she's shot with one?

The first guy who leaked the story yesterday went into a krypt. He was attacked by demon wolf things and you use QTE to kill them and get koins. Then he spent koins and unlocked a Shinnok fatality which someone posted an image of already.
