SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

Here we go...

Spoiler:
So picking up where we last left off, a Shokan General starts a rally cry for the rest of the Shokan/Oni army. Kotal Kahn, looking upon the impending doom hears a voice from behind him. D'vorah states she's ready to parlay with the Shokan. Kotal gives here a scroll with his terms, and told D'Vorah to be unwavering whilst delivering these terms. Reptile states that no matter what happens, if D'Vorah is successful or unsuccessful, the Imperial army is ready to fight the Shokan. Sonya and Johnny's Special Forces are too ready, as they are setting up barricades and other strategic defences. Sonya and Johnny's tension is still evident as Johnny suggests some new tactics to Sonya, yet she ignores him. Johnny is worried about Sonya due to the hot headed nature of Kotal Kahn's diplomats (D'vorah and Ferra/Torr).

D'Vorah approaches Kintaro on the battlefield with Ferra/Torr close behind her, riding on a Dinosaur creature. Kintaro snaps at D'Vorah, states that he never parlayed with a woman before, especially such a repellant one. D'Vorah ignores this insult and continues being nice to Kintaro and begins to hand over the Emperor's terms to Kintaro. Kintaro swats the scroll out of D'Vorah's hands and states that the Shokan do not seek the Emperor's charity. Kintaro says that Kotal Kahn has to surrender to King Gorbak in one hour, or the Shokan/Oni Army will completely destroy Z'Unkarah. D'Vorah states that Kotal will never surrender, and Kintaro replies by saying Z'Unkarah will fall an hour earlier than expected.

Sonya hears news of the terms not coming to agreement and communicates with Johnny. She asks for the status of his position on the wall, in which Cage replies that there's movement within the Shokan/Oni horde. Just then, Cage sees an Oni Warlord charging towards the wall in which he's stationed at. The Oni Warlord is charging with a tree trunk, and as Johnny commands his team to brace for impact, his radio goes silent. Sonya, worried for he ex husband, screams into her radio asking for Johnny to respond as the Oni Warlord charges into the wall where Cage is stationed and destroys it...

The scene now shifts to Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Takeda's battle. Picking up where we left off, a normal Kuai Liang is begging Scorpion to hear him out and that the Frozen Wasteland of the City he created wasn't due to his choosing. Scorpion, with Flaming Swords is overpowering Sub-Zero and in full rage mode screams at Sub-Zero asking why he's blaming the Kamidogu, when he was supposed to return it to Raiden, but instead took it for a joy ride. Scorpion then breaks Sub-Zero's Ice Blades. Sub-Zero then states the dagger possessed him right when he gained possession of it, and begins to fight back. Sub-Zero then states that he will return to Raiden with Hanzo and Takeda to explain what happened. Scorpion snaps back at Sub-Zero and doubts he'll explain, and just make excues, just like his Brother explained the Lin Kuei's crimes against the Shirai Ryu. Sub-Zero tells Scorpion to move on, there is no Lin Kuei, the only member left is Sub-Zero, the rest are all Cyborgs. Scorpion then says that if he and Sub-Zero are both the last of their clans, then they should finish their battle. Scorpion summons demons as seen in his Inferno variation which hold Sub-Zero in place. Scorpion then states that he commends Kuai Liang's soul to the Netherrealm in the name of the fallen, and stabs Sub-Zero through the chest with his two swords. As Sub-Zero is dying, he states that he isn't a monster, and they both did terrible things together while possessed by Quan Chi. Scorpion then asks if he remembers the agony of being controlled by an evil spirit. Sub-Zero says he does not. Scorpion then snaps back and says he does remember, he remembers the last time he held his son, the last time his wife called his name, the agony of losing them. Scorpion goes into full Inferno mode now, with a flaming skull for a face. He then does his Toasty Fatality on Sub-Zero.

As Scorpion is burning Sub-Zero, Takeda calls to him, and implores him to remember what he said to him. He reminds Scorpion that Scorpion doesnt know what it's like to be controlled, because all the evil he did was his choice, due to the misguiding nature of vengeance. Which Takeda reminds Scorpion as that is what he told him. Takeda then says that they have the Kamidogu which is what they came for, and now Scorpion has a choice, to either give into the vengeance like the blood demon wants, or save the world so they could rebuild the Shirai Ryu like they planned. Scorpion finally comes to his sense and becomes Hanzo again. Hanzo pulls his swords out of Sub-Zero and realizes that he will live, not for long, but long enough for Sub-Zero to realize and reflect on his misdeeds.

Takeda and Scorpion leave and are going to take the Kamidogu back to the Sky Temple. Takeda remarks that Scorpion won the rematch, but Scorpion isn't happy at all as Sub-Zero was already injured and he states what good is it to win if he's losing himself in the process? He thinks next time he could lose it altogether and never come back. Takeda says that there will be no next time as Sub-Zero isn't coming back from that. Scorpion replies maybe not, but stranger things have happened. As he says that, we see Sub-Zero lying on the ground, blood pouring out of him but interestingly, the blood forms the Dragon Logo of Mortal Kombat...

That's it ladies and gentlemen.

Not a lot of ground was covered in this issue. Just a fight between Scorp and Subs and Kotal preparing for a siege that barely begins.

Spoiler:
WTF? Scorpion killed the second brother without a reason actually?

Or before Kuai dies, Havik possesses him again, or after he dies he's under Quan Chi's control again?

What would happen prior to the game's Story Mode when Kuai is alive and "good"? Or maybe he still isn't alive in present time (during young SF missions) and is some kind of undead wrath like Scorpion, with the exception of not being controlled by anyone?

I'm curious as to how Sub-Zero makes it out of this one, also….

Spoiler:
In Kenshi's MKX ending, he teams up with Taven to fight Daegon, could this mean that he lives through the events of the comics and the Red Dragon lives on as well?

Spoiler:
All arcade endings most of the times aren't canon.
Also, at this point in the comics Kenshi is on his quest to kill Deagon and Red Dragon goons seem to be still active so far. However, I don't know if in story mode it was revealed that Kenshi succeeded or not.

Arcade endings are usually non-canon, but they don't just arbitrarily resurrect random dead characters and pretend that those characters never died.

The only way That Character Who Shall Remain Nameless dies in the comic is if Kittelsen came on board after the ladder endings were already produced, and instead of drafting up a new one, NRS just said "screw it, who cares?" It would be very lazy.

Spoiler:
so then we have 2 Noob Saibot's? I still think that the statue is Bi Han in storymode at the Lin Kuei temple. Or... Here's a twist. What if the Sub Zero in the game is Bi Han and Scorpion apologizes for killing Kuai Liang.... ;)

Spoiler:
Why two Noobs? The last we saw of Noob, he was thrown into the Soulnado, so he's probably dead. We know Bi-Han is dead. We know Smoke is dead. Sub-Zero is confirmed to be Kuai Liang. Where's the confusion? Why does there need to be a twist? We know there isn't really a major twist in story mode.

Guys, what's wrong with you? Some questions are the result of clear misunderstanding.

Spoiler:
Chapter 1 of the game takes place before the comic. As does Sonya's flashback when Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Jax are freed. They live again as mortals from then on trying to atone for their sins. Kenshi helps Scorpion get over his guilt. Scorpion and Sub-Zero enter the service of Raiden. Daegon somehow steals a dagger. Sub-Zero is cursed trying to recover it (silly Red Dragon goon thinks he's still in Quan Chi's service, therefore his line "I wouldn't cross Quan Chi"). Flashforward to present day in the comic. Hanzo Hasashi and Kuai Liang are not friends. They fight. They both survive and Kuai Liang is freed from Havik's influence. Probably soon he will fight Sektor and disable him, restoring the honour to the Lin Kuei. Daegon and the Red Dragon will be one of the main antagonists in the comic. Kenshi and Takeda will not get their revenge. The comic's story (either 36 or 72 issues) ALL happens before MKX. After Shinnok's defeat (MK X's story), Kenshi and Takeda will resume their war with Daegon. This will probably take place in MK11. I'm really not worried about Daegon dieing in Kenshi's ending cause that's just a hint of where his story will go in the next game. However, I am worried that he will be killed off in MK11. It's just what NRS does to evil guys. They wouldn't dare leaving Argus', Delia's and Suchin's deaths unpunished. I would!

If you can't see from Taj's summary that Kuai Liang is obviously about to die again and then be resurrected again for the game, you're an idiot.

Sorry guys, but aren't the comics supposed to be ended off with the game? Or do they continue after the release of the game as well?
