SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

Cool chapter. I don't mind the slower pace one bit.

-I do wish that we were getting a little bit more of the newer characters. What the hell was Erron thinking? How was this supposed to help Kotal? Really wouldn't have minded an explanation. And I wouldn't have minded some more dialogue for D'Vorah/Reptile/Ferra, either.

-Kotal remains interesting. He's a Machiavellian "Prince" who knows both how to be cunning and ruthless, and when a softer touch is called for.

-Sonya and Johnny... yikes. Sonya's one tough customer. I have to say, I'm growing fond of her entirely self-reliant and emotionally closed off characterization.

-The Gorbak scene was great. It was nice, too, to see that Kotal actually had a plan with keeping Goro alive... a plan that backfired epically, but still a plan. Johnny Cage vs Goro isn't happening any time soon, but maybe possibly JC vs Kintaro HYPE???

-Hahaha, "technical loss." It's funny because I can't tell if Scorpion is actually sensitive about losing, or if he's right and that's the way we're supposed to interpret his defeat to Kuai.

-Now THIS is interesting. "Even under Quan Chi's control, Kuai Liang wasn't powerful enough to do this." Confirmation that Revenants are stronger than their usual selves? So, unless the fights in MKX are dumb again, Johnny Cage beating Revenant Sub-Zero is actually even more impressive than Johnny Cage beating regular Sub-Zero? And him beating Revenant Jax shits up and down over Jax beating Johnny in MK9? Heh.

Awesome!! Thanks a lot, now that might change things a bit. So what's the deal, was Kittelsen asked to write a story based on what NRS had planned for the game, the other way around, or did they get together and back create the whole story? I hope Kittelsen was able to convince NRS that Havik has a lot of potential and is heavily involved and a unlockable character!!

He had to write something around the established story script for the game.
Basically he was tasked with filling in the gaps the story and bios don't cover.

That's not a good sign for Havik, maybe this is all just to explain the daggers, revenants, Shinnok and or Quan Chi's stories and roles in mkx story mode.

Stop it with the Noob Saibot theories, he's not in the game. Quan Chi is way too quiet + the library stage shown for completing story mode hints towards him. A good guess would be that Quan Chi uses Fujin since you need a god along with the 6 Kamidogu daggers. Fujin is shadowing Quan Chi so this could be the outcome. Another is more simple: Quan Chi finds a way to release Shinnok and uses him or gets killed when Shinnok becomes more powerful and is the final boss.
Haha arrogance. I will stop when all roster spots are filled. so sorry for having a different point of view to you.
should I tell you to stop about quan chi. and how it won't happen.
but hey to save arguments you are right its going to be the same boring storylines over and over.
should I like the same music as you to. grow up.

Once again im a satisfied customer with Chapter 13!

Slowed pace and caught up with what happened in previous chapters!

-Kotal Kahn continues to win me over! His anger towards Erron Black for his action were awesome and then his immediate response is how to "fix" the already brittle relationship. Although they had no dialogue, Reptile, D'Vorah & Ferra/Torr were standing there like a boss. (Beautifully drawn). Wonder what punishment Erron B. will receive while in the Dungeon?!

-Sonya showing a softer/more sensitive side about the girls was a nice to see. Show's she not always the Stone Cold Machine of a as she makes herself out to be! But as quickly as that side showed, it was cut short with her attitude towards Johnny. (He was only trying to make you feel better and focus, give him a break!)

-King Gorbak and Goro! A touching scene, A Prince who deemed himself not worthy due to his failure, is rebutted with a Father's love for his son and plans an Uprising to exact revenge. Few interesting things with the Shokan marching for War/Battle:
1. Led by Kintaro
2. Is that possibly Sheeva next to Kintaro or just a Shokan Female?
3. Shokan apparently vary in size and are ALOT bigger!
4. They also ride Dinosaur like creature

-Scorpion & Takeda make a plan and apparently Takeda is the Plan?! Love how they attack frozen Lin Kuei Cyborgs and then realize the whole city is frozen. Hanzo mentions that, "Even under Quan Chi's control, Kuai Liang was never this powerful"!

-Sub Zero waiting atop the stairs and the "Blood God" is mocking/taunting Scorpion. Sub Zero destroys a frozen building with a single blow. Continues to provoke Hanzo/Scorpion saying, "I barely recognized you without the fire in your eyes & You've used alot of Hellfire to fight the Blood Code, Scorpion is growing stronger in there & There he IS"

-Finally we see Havik with a dissected body as he is doing something with the Innards of the dead body. Havik rejoices in that the Kamidogu and Scorpions soul will be his!

My favorite part of this Chapter, is Kotal sitting on his throne wondering how the hell he can fix the situation that Erron Black has put him in. I also found it amusing that D'Vorah in one of the panels had One of her Pincers out like she was going to execute Erron, even though she had defended his actions in an earlier chapter

Only one thing to be noted: Shang Tsung flesh pits are located in Outworld.

Ok, probably thet will say it's another one, but, you know.

Well, his island is interconnected with both Outworld and Earthrealm, so it technically still is in Outworld. But yeah, it is most likely just another one, for if he get bored while on his island. :P

I reminded that, but, you know, Kitana was on Outworld, near the Living Forest to go there.

Unless there is some disturbance in the middle of the forest

They will say what Harpoon said, you know, there is more than one :p

Yeah, I really don't expect Havik or Reiko to make it out of the comics alive.
Cause otherwise what the hell would they be doing for 10 years between the comics and game?

People keep forgetting that.
