It might be interesting, thematically, if the reason Kotal fails as leader of Outworld is that he's actually too nice, too idealistic, too willing to trust people who don't openly declare themselves his enemies.

It would suck because after a story like that, there's nowhere to go but back to Shao Kahn for another 10 games. But thematically it would certainly make a statement about what kind of place Outworld is, and what kind of people its leaders have to be.

Let's think, at first, on the scenario.

Kotal lost his father, Goro betrayed him, his people are dead (don't know if all), Mileena and Reiko escaped again...

I doubt he had the head to think "oooh, I will take Sonya's daughter, bring her here when I have lots of important things to do, like, not losing the throne, and Earthrealm may help us!".

Agreed. I don't think kotal has anything to do with taking Cassie, but Sonya doesn't know what's going on in Outworld, so believing kotal was involved is an understandable conclusion after seeing one of his main henchmen on Cassie's phone.

That's what I think is going on. Kotal doesn't strike me as the type to kidnap. I think Erron Black is playing for multiple sides.

I think Erron Black is in league with Havik, who as we all know wants Chaos spread across the realms. It's certainly within Havik's nature to have Cassie Cage kidnapped while acting on Kotal Kahn's side just to make him look bad to Earthrealm's heroes, so it makes sense for Erron Black to do the same. Planting the seeds of distrust and dissension is most certainly Chaotic in nature.

Yeah where has it been confirmed that Rain isn't dead? I don't recall anything other than he's not a possible canidate for DLC again. That's literally the only thing I heard about him.

Lord Greyjoy told us earlier that the guy that is in charge of the comics tweeted that Rain is not dead.

Nah not really. He makes a good point. Seeing Tanya/Rain/etc fans whining constantly on this forum is getting real old. Funny you should call him 'spoiled', considering it's people like you acting like you are owed everything from the NRS dev team. The whole term 'spoiled Scorpion fans' that you used there speaks volumes about you. You are in way too deep. I'm a huge MK fan -- but even I know that there's more to life than MK. When you get something of this high quality, you enjoy what you get you spoiled brat.

I doubt it. He's definitely working with the Black Dragon at the very least, as Jarek was expecting the portal that sucked up Cassie and Jacqui.

I really hope we see some background stories for Reptile, D'vorah, Erron Black and Ferra/Torr soon, i'm curious about them. D'vorah being on one of the future-covers is promising.

Also instead of the boring Kotal VS Red Dragon goons fight, I would have rather seen more pictures of D'vorah, Ferra and Reptile fighting those goons with their awesome powers and abilities.

Maybe Rain died because of his old costume, the new costume will be after-being-burned, this death was more of his old costume, now his real role and purpose (like how he's gonna be in X maybe) is coming in a future comic as he's clearly not dead.
