SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

GOOD @ Scarlet. I personally do not like her look at all in MK9, but she now has lots of fans and shouldn't be dropped after one game.

I, sadly, doubt Reiko will be in the game, which really sucks. I get the feeling that Shinnok/Reiko/Tanya/Fujin are going to be somewhat part of the story, but left out as a playable fighter.

I don't think NRS rolls that way. Both MK9 and Injustice had zero major characters who were non-playable and not bosses (excepting Shinnok's cameo where we could only see his head). It just doesn't make a lot of sense to design a character with next-gen tech so that they look as good as the rest of your cast, and then not put in the extra bit of effort to make them fightable/playable.

I could be wrong, but that's my guess based on how the last two games have worked.

She may not make the game, but it would be cool to see her in the comic. It is fitting. And I'm calling it that Mileena will find out Reiko is using her and will tear him apart.

I think she is playing along and knows he is using her. She may kill him, but I think she will use it as an advantage somehow. Maybe Reiko becomes the leader and Mileena is his wife. Then, she secretly kills him and becomes the leader. If that happens, I hope it's in story mode because I want Reiko in the game.

So far we already have: Hsu Hao, Kenshi, Tekada, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Fujin, Raiden, Sonya, Jax, Jacqui, Jarek, Tasia, Mileena, Reiko, Kintaro, Rain, Skarlet, Reptile, D'vorah, Kotal, Kotal's Father, Erron Black, Johnny Cage, Cassie, Ferra/Torr, Goro, Shao Kahn, Fox, Kano, Mavado, Daegon, Shinnok and Frost in the comic, which is amazing!
 
Well, I would be surprised if Skarlet did not appear on a story about blood.

Anyway, Mileena will kill nobody. When she's not paying attention, she will not even feel the Crude Hammer on her skull!
 
Reiko betraying Mileena and possibly kill her, you say?
Hmm... Not sure if I like that. He may have seduced her for personal reasons, but I kinda like the two of them teaming up. Also, I like that it is HIM who seduced HER! Since MKA and his interactions with Taven in Konquest Mode, I've always had this feeling of him being very intelligent along with being ruthless and brutal as a general of Shao Kahn's army. And that has now been confirmed which I think is absolutely awesome!

If they kill him in the comics and he won't make it to the game... I admit, it would really disappoint me. I'm not one to raise my expectations and hopes, but after seeing him in the comics, I can't help it.
 
I don't think there's any need for them to kill each other, really. Mileena wants the throne but I can't imagine her having any very specific plan on what to do that would conflict with Reiko's plans... They would probably work together just fine.
What Kotal said about her in his speech made it sound as if she's just lazy and careless (not taking the Netherrealm War seriously and preparing). I can imagine them both ruling as a couple, Reiko can run his schemes (I presume he wants to conquer territory, like Shao Kahn did except without the merge) with the bonus of having Mileena and Dat Body waiting in the bedroom at night, and Mileena can jump in the throne doing wathever it is she likes to do with the bonus of Dat Shirtless Reiko waiting in the bedroom at night and doing all the hard work.

Why do people keep counting Fox? He's not even worthy of mention.

Yeah, his MK:A appearance was extremely revealing. And what a hard fight that was, man, I remember not beating him at the first attempt! He is completely awesome, I'm so happy he is having a good role on the franchise, since MK4 I wanted him to have some space, and even his little appearance on MK:A was very pleasing.

I want him on MKX, and he is important to the Netherrealm War AND the Civil War.

It's implied, on MK:D, that he vows to be Emperor. Reiko is a strategist, a brutal legendary fighter, and as we have seen, a genius without scrupules.

For real: for a guy that has everything, except the throne, do you really think that he will need Mileena?

She is just a tool on his hand. Reiko has the same vibe of Shao Kahn, he just doesn't care about common things, he wants to be a konqueror, a warlord, even look at Reiko's MK:A ending.

Mileena is just a path. Reiko has an unique sense of loyalty too, as we have seen, he was sad for the irony of the fail of his duty could lead to Quan Chi's death, someone he hates. Even though he has a loyal trace, I think that now there are few things that separate him from the helmet, and he is obsessed with that.

Obs.: he doesn't seem to be enjoying her!

That is exatly my opinion as well.
I really loved Reiko in Armageddon. He seemed a very calm tempered man, still quite inteligent as well.

Come to think of it, Mileena & Reiko makes perfect sense. He was probably the most loyal of Shao Khan's men, to the point he actually dressed like him (in Armageddon some of his moves are inspired by Shao Kahn and I love it). And Mileena is the natural heir to the throne. It's a couple that makes perfect sense.
 
I do think having Reiko playable allows them to have someone who has a similar moveset to Kahn. I'm curious to see if they elaborate on his Brotherhood of Shadow time and if they give him more abilities (if playable.) They always build up his former life as a General of Shao Kahn, but he did spend a lengthy time in service of Shinnok.
 
I'm hoping that Reiko is playable. And to be honest, that's probably the best chance we have at ever being able to play as him again in a major MK game. Let's hope that instead of ressurecting some of the ludicrous MK DA - MK A characters (Nitara, Kobra, Kira, etc), they'll finally give a few of the MK4 characters a chance to be developed. MK4 wasn't a great game but its characters were probably some of the best new characters the series had (well, most of them). They fitted.
 
Yeah, it will definitely be interesting to see how the dynamic between Mileena and Reiko plays out. That does not seem like an alliance built to last.

Skarlet and Rain entering. Perhaps on the same side, with a third faction entering the Outworld conflict? Throw Tanya in there with them and that would be one awesome trio!
