I know this is really old now but in one strip of the first comic, why is Kenshi shirtless wearing jeans and what looks to be sunglasses? Thats Johnny's style not his.

That is a wild speculation...but an intersting one at that!
I don't think that'll happen but it would be a welcomed twist!

My favorite part of #5 is between Raiden & Kotal
Raiden- You promised never to use the Portal Stones
Kotal- After the Netherrealm War, you promised our worlds would cooperate

I'm loving what NRS are doing with that. I'm always annoyed by the "wise, above it all, dropping information" character trope always speaking in riddles and vague sentences.
It's awesome that Raiden keeps screwing up his predictions and decisions, and everyone calls him out on it in the comics. It's a very interesting play on the trope.
 
That's one of the amazing things on Raiden. No wonder he is Earthrealm's protector.

He is too human. He wants to do the things he have to do, and screw things.

Trying to secure the realms, make promises he can't fulfill. And sometimes he even forgets them.

And people get mad, get tired of this things. People also get upset and hopeless, because he was the one who needed to protect us.

What a character!

Oh I thought you were talking about Argentina's president. I realised you weren't when you didn't mention corruption and illicit enrichment.

lol, leaving that aside I also think Raiden is too human, he screws up, he even became evil once and he also happened to kill the guy he had his hopes on.
He's not the classic almighty and wise god.

Yeah, he is such an amazing character. Love the way he is, I think I love the characters that resemble the most human things and deal with the most common human problems.
 
Some people are saying that we may have seen the last of Sonya,Cassie and JOHNNY Cages story until the game comes .I think that this is a pretty awesome idea .Now they go venture out and we get to see other character's story then in the last issue we are left with a cliff hanger while we wait for the game to come out a couple of days later

We definitely have not. It's been confirmed we'll see more of them in Chapters 13-15, and I also really doubt Cassie and Jacqui will be off-panel the entire time we're with Kotal. Also, there is no last issue scheduled yet, the comic's going on beyond April.
 
In some news from Kittelsen's twitter: we'll be seeing more of what Sub-Zero's been up to this month, and Kenshi won't be seen again for a while, but will return eventually.
 
What exactly does all that have anything to do with the comic? Stop derailing the thread guys and stay on topic.

I wonder what the deal is with the whole Sub-Zero fighting the cyber-Lin Kuei panel we saw in Raiden's vision earlier, do you guys think that that particular Sub-Zero might be the younger brother?

Also something I'd like to note regarding Sub is his eyes being very similar to Scorpion's in which they are blank. Possibly signifying revenant status of some sort?

I think that it's the older Sub-Zero for that very reason.
He's not wearing the same stuff that Sub-Zero was wearing in the first MKX comic, and Sub-Zero saying to Ermac (in the game) that his soul is "Not corrupted. Freed" also hints (IMO) at this being Bi-Han.
Noob Saibot was the embodiment of corruption, and maybe now his soul has been freed.

True, but that could be either brother since Noob Saibot = dead and resurrected Bi-Han or it could be Kuai, given that he also died.
The dead eyes don't point in favor of 1 or the other, IMO.
We have to look deeper than just the eyes.

LOL WOOPS! I derped out there XD I actually meant the OLDER brother myself haha but yeah I also neglected to point out the intros as well. What I want to know is why Bi Han is even attacking the Lin Kuei at all? Perhaps both brothers work for Raiden now and Kuai is now cursed by Kano's Kamidogu cut? Maybe the chapter with the description of the frozen city leads up to Scorpion and Takeda having to kill Kuai? I read somewhere that one of Quan Chi's intros with Sub mentions that he has his brother's soul.
 
Everyone is like "Kenshi won't make it in because Takeda will"...

Did anyone ever stop to think that maybe... just maybe Takeda get's killed in a horrible way (in the comics) and Kenshi returns to Mortal Kombat (the game) to get revenge?

Except for the part where Takeda AND Kenshi are apparently both in the digital series, which I am ENTIRELY convinced takes place after the game's story mode.
