SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

I won't be surprise if Frost died. I knew from the start that they will start killing off the past 3D era characters that they don't like. However no one in MK never dies for good (expect for Hsu Hao now) and she can come back if she ends up being DLC.
Now that would be DUMB.
Killing a character and getting it back as a DLC.

On earlier descriptions, this would be Cassie's first match to the death, and it seemed she didn't notice there was the risk of her being killed. Don't know if she will kill Frost. Could be. But I'm not sure.

I only found the descriptions for the first 3 issues (which was on the mortal kombat wiki). Where are you guys finding the new descriptions? (If you got a link, that would be much appreciated)

Spoiler:
The fact that Boon dekonfirmed Frost leaves no doubt to the outcome of that particular fight.

Thanks.

Also, either Shawn told us a lie about the current state of the dead characters, we will be fighting children in MKX, or no one knows what they are doing with this story because timeline wise this entire story is flawed.

Spoiler:
How old is Cassie Cage?
How is the a prequel if MKX takes place five years after? (Unless Cassie is going to be 5 years old in the comic)
Why did they wait so long to search for the kamidogu?
Are all of the comics just a bunch of random time jumps?
Will the ending of issue one be resolved? (The summary of chapter 2-3 makes it seem that there will be a time jump to Takeda's adulthood)

What is going on with it?

Not really.
Even though this was originally referring to Frost, I really don't mind if a few of the dead MK9 characters also come back as DLC, but I wouldn't want NRS making a huge cop-out of the MK9 story or retconning all the MK9 deaths, just to bring them back on the MKX roster.
Same goes for the comic.

If they bring 1 or 2 of them back as DLC, they can just get a quick Bio and NRS doesn't have to explain why they are even back.
Thus, the MKX story can move on without having to rehash the previous game's story (or comic story, in the case of Frost).

The first chapter was only a "few years" after MK9; starting with the second chapter, we'll be jumping ahead to 15 years after MK9 and the comic will stay there for the most part with some flashbacks. Cassie and probably several other of the descendent characters are going to be teenagers at this time, but not in the game. This is still a prequel in that it takes place before the 25 years later portion of MKX, which Boon and other people at NRS have made sound like the part of the game that most of the action will happen in, and it's going to cover stuff that won't be shown in the game. I'm sure we'll get explanations for what's going on with Sub-Zero and the Kamidogu in the next chapters.

Spoiler:
Cassie Cage vs Frost in a fight to the death? There truly is no doubt to the outcome. Cassie is in MKX, Frost has been dekonfirmed, so what does THAT tell you?

I meant to say that the earlier description didn't gave me the impression that was a know fight to the death. It was like Cassie fighting MMA and then comes a crazy opponent who is there to kill. She could kill her, or maybe not. Frost being out of the game may be because they...just don't want her.

Obs.: Oh you and the spoiler tags

I love how the amount of hate you have for this character makes you say some of the dumbest of things. Frost hasn't been deconfirmed by anyone.

Anyways, the vagueness of the description of the Cassie vs. Frost comic doesn't have me immediately thinking Frost will die, but I can see it both ways.

I can see the story having it where Cassie isn't completely trained so she doesn't know everything to save herself in a fight. So then she encounters Frost, how they do I have no idea, and they fight. The fight could end in two ways.

1.) Frost kicks her ass, thus having Cassie go back and then you see her parents, making them be revealed finally and hey, we could totally see them make an appearance in the game

2.) Cassie does kill Frost, being her first kill and I don't know, might have some traumatic thing going on or whatever.

... I hate theorizing.

I can't lie, being the daughter of Johnny Cage I just find her killing Frost hard to believe.
Most likely, she will do like Johnny Cage and tell them "I'm not going to kill anyone."

In MKDA, Sonya and Frost hated eachother, but we never really got an explanation to why. Perhaps we will this time.

I really forgot about that. I thought it was only a petty grudge over their opinions of how to defeat the Deadly Alliance. I guess there was actually more to it.

Yeah I don't think there was any reason given as to why Frost attacked Sonya before she met Raiden. And I really hope jealousy has nothing to do with her attacking Sonya as well as Cassie in this comic because come on... girls aren't that psycho.
