I don't think they will kill high profile characters in the comic. Those deaths need to be in the MKX story mode if they happen.

Characters like Hsu Hao will get killed, sure, but Goro is a bigger deal. He's one of the classic MK boss characters and he has big importance in the MK lore, as veteran champion of Outworld, killer of the Great Kung Lao and royalty of the Shokan.
 
If someone is a playable character in the game I doubt they'll die during the comic's story mode. I get the feeling if none of the Red Dragon are playable in the game they'll probably be wiped out in the comic.

It's not a very good reason IMO.

I highly doubt Goro will show up in the comic for one issue then just die. They want Goro to look as badass as possible so more casual people will pre-order the game. Showing up in the comic book to just die would make Goro look weak and irrelevant. It's more likely they're setting Goro up for some kind of redemption thing. Where he's on a mission to take back Outworld after getting his ass handed to him. Possibly leading to him joining to forces of light.

It wouldn't surprise me if Goro made a few appearances in story mode.

Right. It would kinda put him on the same level as Hsu Hao. :laugh:

I was thinking it would be cool to see Goro team up with Liu Kang (if the "vengeful fire god" thing is true) He could make some sort of truce with Goro. That way Goro isn't completely good or bad, he's just doing what needs to be done.

Hey, after I read this I just got an idea! What do you think about when buying a DLC character you also get a bonus mission/chapter where you play as him?

That would actually be kinda cool to see them implement all the DLC characters into the story by giving them a short little chapter to play. Kind of like a replacement for the bio's.

That's too much work though. And would more then likely raise the price of DLC characters. So bio's are a good enough middle ground for me. Plus the comic book will likely spill into the events of MKX itself. Showing what was happening in the background of the story, and what the DLC characters were up to.
 
Maybe someone from the forces of light can convince Goro to fight for the Forces Of Light.
He'd be an awesome ally for Raiden to have, IMO.
 
I won't be surprise if Frost died. I knew from the start that they will start killing off the past 3D era characters that they don't like. However no one in MK never dies for good (expect for Hsu Hao now) and she can come back if she ends up being DLC.
