SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

Frost was nothing but a female "evil" Sub-Zero clone... She had the slide, she had the ground freeze, both moves Subbie had in previous games. She even looked like him with her costume. There was no original bone in her at all.

And that's why she shouldn't return, unless NRS do a complete revamp of her.

I believe the bottom line is the only thing that speaks, period. The reasons why are completely irrelevant.

It's good to see that NRS is taking a different approach with the new characters, meaning actually making them relevant to the story.

I mean think about it, what importance does Darrius, Nitara, etc. have to the overall MK story?

Now we have Kotal Kahn; disputed Outworld ruler, D'Vorah; his right hand woman, Cassie Cage; next generation Earthrealm hero, Ferra-Torr; integral to the Outworld Civil War.
 
I think revamping her is recreating the character. Nice, but not true.

For exemple, (I will pick the most obvious), Scorpion and Sub-Zero were a hype since we knew them.

They have excellent backstory, interesting abilities and they make ALL the difference.

They make so much difference that a game without them is a different game.

Some characters were created with a backstory, if it was poor or not, that depends.

There are people here (and I respect those, really), who think Scorpion has a poor backstory.

I wrote a few days ago how his story with Subby is not poor, is probally the richest. But opinions are opinions.

For exemple, I like Reiko. I think he is interesting. I'm praying for him to have a major role on MKX.

I can't even say he has poor backstory, he has NONE, yet many people love him, and he is still interesting.

He is probably in (at the least comic) because he will make some difference.

I think it depends on how characters conquer our hearts.

As I said, it´s a matter of preferences...
Kitana does look better this time around, but not for the quantity of fabric, it´s because of the details, armor, materials, textures, and specially her hairstyle...
However I always loved her stripper outfits (well except for her mk9 alternate) and she became my fave with that kind of clothing....
As for Sonya, I really loved her Mk4 outfit, where she showed her stomach, I mean, I don´t want the outfit to be neccesarily of a stripper, but, it must be sexy, and must show some skin if the girl is hot.. (That´s why Ashra´s suit was perfect, because she´s not sexy).
Sonya´s outfit must resemble her past outfits, and, at least should show a decent amount of skin... And for Kitana, I´m not pleased by the lower half... the lack of heels and that thing at the waist aren´t the sexiest clothes of the world...

I understand. It's because IMO they are engaged on Mortal KOMBAT, they have to be prepared to fight, not to be on a strip club or in a model entertainment.

I understand your preferences, and I respect them... But, I think NRS must include both type of outfits, the normal and the alternate one... The first one could be the warrior costume, for a Mortal Kombat, but the alternate must resemble the classic female sexy outfits... and It could apply to the males too... I won´t like to sound chauvinist and I think the female fans deserve the same right than we to enjoy sexy costumes for the males...
