From the description of it, it seems like it's going to mainly be focused on Kung Jin and his origins. And then showing him working with Cassie, Takeda, Kenshi, and possibly Johnny Cage to rescue D'vorah from that one off Ron Tan Cho crimeboss guy.

That line by Sub is interesting, the power is in the blood and it's not really Havik who is possessing him. That pretty much makes him obsolete for any involvement in story mode.

The power is in the blood, but why would you say it's not Havik? We saw Havik finish a phrase started by Sub-Zero in the previous issue, and in this one the person speaking through Sub-Zero admits he was also speaking through Forrest Fox. It fits perfectly.
