Call me krazy with a k but when did every gay person in the world began wearing a purple bikini as a universal uniform? No offense, dude, but I can see why you got banned or whatever happened to you. Sounds kinda ignorant to just stereotype like that.

...BUT for the record, yes. Torr and Reptile have alot of potential for story. I hope that they're not just reduced to lackeys to pummel on.

And yeah, it does seem like Reptile stays in his role as punchbag henchman, and since we know absolutely minimum of Ferra/Torr, I'd guess they too are just mere henchmen made to be, as you say, pummeled on.
 
Torr/Ferra has no future in Mortal Kombat, their bio pretty much confirms that. Zero thought was put into their story lol

I think people use the word "stereotype" too often.

Sometimes it's not a stereotype, it's just statistical accuracy.

This isn't aimed at the "rain is gay" thing, I'm just speaking in general because people looooove to use the word stereotype all the time...

Most of the times it is just statistics.

You have to admit though, stereotypes do get formed because of statistics.

The stereotype of African Americans being criminals has to do with the fact that their population had the highest crime rates at one point. Not sure if they still do but nonetheless.

Is that so wrong? She was legitimately fugly in MK9, like "kill it with fire" fugly. No one wants their characters to look that bad, I don't think.

Well, I do. She's supposed to be that atrocious. If I want "perfect beautiful" women, I'll look at a magazine cover (and that'll probably be ugly too as it'll be just a photoshopped shadow of a real woman).

Of course, that's just me, but I still strongly believe that if she's supposed to be a freak, then make her a freak, just like there's no special reason for the other female characters to follow certain beauty standards.

I thought Mileena looked like dogshit in the Story Trailer, but she looks really good in game. I love what they've done with her mouth.

But she's not perfectly beautiful. She has teeth where teeth shouldn't be.

Look at D'Vorah, she's insectoid, but she's still not ugly. She actually has a pretty attractive face.

Look at Goro, he's a monster, but he still has the lantern jaw and the high cheekbones we associate with male good looks. He's "ugly," but he's not repulsive.

It's a fine line between making a character look bad in a good way, and bad in a bad way. I respect that you think they might have gone too far. I personally prefer this design. If a new MK film gets made and Mileena has her old face, it would be impossible to take her seriously/get a good actress for the role. This is a good middle ground.
