So with this pic out BBBLP posted, saying Kotal was a war chief in Outworld for a while before turning on Mileena, and after taking over the throne called himself Kahn, it sure seems like his relation to Shao Kahn was the one I wanted/guessed. He admired the raw might of the original gangsta.
I'm loving that Kotal takes some inspiration from Shao Kahn, even if he's far less power-hungry and ruthless (apparently).
The description of Erron is the same as Salazar's...

Dunno, but now that you point out the headband, I'm beginning to think that the character that we saw in the "Towers" video could be Takeda instead of Liu Kang, as so many others are thinking.
I did think about that..
Can someone compile everything we know about future issues? If so, don't forget to label it under a spoiler tag.
I was too lazy to copy and paste on my phone so here's a link.

The guy in the tower looks exactly like Liu Kang in his MK9 ending, the armor and Raiden like outfit, and his face looked like that of an asian guy (though Takeda is half thai), besides he was on the top what could suggest he's the boss and the "Liu Kang Evil Fire God Boss Theory" is quite popular and I'm beggining to think that quite real too.

can we wait for a confirm first before making assumptions first

Well if you remove the part of him being a boss what I said before isn't any less true.

The guy at the top looks exactly like MK9 ending fire god Liu Kang.

I'm not saying it is the absolute truth but is pretty reasonable to assume that from what we've seen. Same as the dark skinned bald dude with metal arms in the tower... who could he be if not Jax?

Takeda looks to be in his 20s in that magazine picture, whereas in the comics he was 8.

No, he was only 8 in Chapter 1 and part of Chapter 2 of the comics. He's been a teenager/young adult since the time skip in Chapter 2. You make it sound like we haven't seen an older Takeda at all.

That's also not a magazine picture. It's a recap from the print version of the comic's second issue.

Regardless, he looks more like he's in his 20s in that picture, IMO.
Actually, he reminds me a bit of Mavado in his mid-20s, in Deadly Alliance.

Nah, he looks the same to me. The comics aren't doing another time skip, so he kind of has to be at the same age, anyway.

Yeah, I think Takeda in that little image looks the same as Takeda in chapters 2 (excluding first few pages) and 3. Probably not wrong either considering we're not getting another time jump any time soon.
