Hmm I think I understood what you wrote correctly. At least I hope so. Well anyway I see no reason to turn this into another endless MK vs Street Fighter debate so I will refrain from commenting on that part, which I hope others will as well.
I never get disconnected from PSN either, and I think people who do have bad internet connections or are too far away from their wireless rooter. If they're hooked up through an ethernet cable... Well then I dunno.
And while blue ray discs may be better in many departments I don't think the DVD is quite ready to die yet and I think it still has much evolution to do.

Man this game being announced has brought along with it all kinds of crazies. Rave and Cyrax66 here are hurting my brain.
I've made clear my opinions on who wins the console war back in the thread in the console gaming section but I'll sum it up here: PS3 wins.
However, I still tend to get games I want to play online for the 360 b/c of XBL. That's usually 1 in 6 games tho. Online is not a serious consideration for me. I'm a little misanthropic.

Not trying to be a B here but this is getting a but ridiculous.....the SF/MK discussion is never ending and every thread is going to turn into an MK-SF argument.

well i think Mk can use some of the mechanics used in tekken. Tekken has a great move system, combo system, and moves list. These games shouldn't be attacking each other competitively, but learning from each other to develop better games. Then maybe i can tear heihachi's f**king head off in a MK and tekken crossover . ahh go ahead and flame me if you want for that last comment i dont mind.

What have I done? It was a joke people, so cut the off topic discussions. And really, some of you don't much about fighters so quit the comparisons altogether. SF is deeper than it looks, and ten strings in Tekken are useless scrub moves; the lowpoint of those series' were T4 and the EX series. Everything else has been great and spawned competitive scenes for years, and never dropped out.

In this topic: People that are insecure over the console they've spent big bucks on, so they feel the need to bash the other choice. This appears to be going both ways.
I enjoy both consoles. I only own an Xbox 360, because I did not want a PS3. They are just about the same thing, same button layout and most of the (good) games are multiplatform. However, I do enjoy the weight and shape of the 360 controller compared to the PS3, and of the console-specific games I enjoy 360's more as well (Gears, Halo, Fable as opposed to just God of War). It all really comes down to preference these days. People can brag about B-R discs all they want, but I see no difference in quality. People can also comment about how much better XBL is than PSN, and while I do pay for XBL, the only difference I saw is that it was a slight more pain in the ass to register with PSN for me than it was with XBL. The way I see it, people should be happy with the console they got and not feel the need to bash the other, because as I have previously stated, the two consoles are practically the same.

Nintendo has a special place in my heart, too. I hate M$ and $ony for their business practices, but their systems have the games I really want to play. I still keep a Wii around simply for the always entertaining Mario platformers.
G4's The Feed segment from last night mentioned a Street Fighter vs Tekken rumor. Since their playing styles are different, the rumor also hints at there being a 2D and 3D version of the game so both sides of the fanbases can be appeased. I don't really know if it interests me, but it could be fun.

Those are corporations out there to make money, be it Nintendo, Sony or MS, no exceptions. They all have had questionable practices in the past and still do, so I don't get the love or hate sentiments towards any corporation. I suppose nostalgia has a lot to do with it.
Nintendo had a dark history of mistreating third parties and retailers on matters ranging from cartridge manufacturing in the 80's and 90's to censorship (MK1 anyone?). Hell, the PS brand wouldn't have existed if it weren't for the stunt they pulled in CES 91 by abandoning their partnership with Sony on the Super NES CD. They announced a partnership with Philips during the same show without informing Sony that the partnership was off after 5 years. Then there were shady practices with retailers in Japan during the early days of the PS1. I could go on, but again, those are ruthless corporations out to make money, regardless of their size. Perception is all PR work, and Nintendo comes off nowadays (thanks to Iwata turning things around in 2004 and on). During Yamauchi's reign? Not so much. He spewed out comments not unlike Kutaragi in 2006, but went as far as insulting gamers.
Games are a different matter altogether, and I can relate.
