Any others looking forward to this game?

but i was deeply saddened that the PC version is just going to be a port from the console versions

Oblivion was basically a port as well, as they were developing that game with consoles in mind.

The benefit of PC are higher res textures, more graphics setting options, and of course mod support being the biggest difference.

I am looking forward to this game, though. BF3 and Skyrim will keep me busy for a long time.

Yeah - you'll still get improvements in the PC version though.

As for what Violence said, I'm a huge Gears and Halo fan too. So with Gears 3, Skyrim, Battlefield 3, and Halo Anniversary coming - I may lose my job.

I'm thinking of picking this up (The game, not the collector's edition).

I've never played an Elder Scrolls game.

But if its like Fallout, son, I am proud.

Say goodbye to your loved ones for awhile, took me 5 months to beat oblivion. Atleast most of it. Skyrim is a game of the year everyone knows it.

I pre-ordered the standard version just a few days ago. TES is my absolute favorite franchise. (MK is at a fairly distant second.) I don't have room for shwag and cheap, so I don't buy the expensive stuff.

Really looking forward to this game! I love The Elder Scrolls!
I bought Morrowind and Oblivion with all the DLC's, and I'll buy Skyrim + all the DLC's probably.. But the Collector's Edition? Too expensive.. But it looks awsome as hell :)

5 months? How did it took you so long man? I did it in like a month, and with all the DLC's.. game isn't that hard..

You shouldn't try to speed play through an elder scrolls game

Sip it like a fine wine, and enjoy the many aspects of it

This.

With these games the main story is hardly the focal point. The side quests, guilds, rare weapons, etc. are part of the astonishing beauty of them. The games are by no means hard because you can save and restart where and whenever you want. The act of going through them is the point.

The map comes with the normal pre-ordered copy. Already have mine paid for. Ironically, I called every game dealer around here that was going to carry it before I bought it and asked if there was going to be a collector's version and they all said no so I just paid for the normal pre-order. Good thing they didnt offer it early cause the cost difference certainly does not work well. Almost $100 extra for a book and a silly plastic statue? No thanks.

Good to know.

Skyrim looks even better than oblivion. Dont get me wrong oblivion was good, but I didnt really like the setting. It just felt abit too generic and kinda too much like lord of the rings. I like skyrim's viking mountan dragon thing its got going on.

Kinda how I liked Morrowind's dark swamp theme better than Oblivion's world

I'm getting it(not the ce £130 to hell with that)it in a list of 4 or 5 games I'm gettin before the years out getting mine the day after a within temptation concert, gonna buy my older brother a copy so he doesn't borrow mine lol

I was kind of dissatisfied with oblivion's Knights of the Nine dlc but the Shivering Isles was really fun. Bethesda should only do expansion dlc like the Pitt and Point lookout. It gives a new perspective instead of the same old goodness we've been getting.

Cyrodil was one of the more sophisticated regions, since it has a bigger Imperial presence there. It has ascetics from a lot of the other countries because they all border Cyrodil. You will quickly notice that Skyrim will look a lot like North Cyrodil, except much prettier. The same reason that the east and south east regions of Cyrodil look like Morrowind.

11.11.11 is just too good of a release date to be real. Not only does it look and sound cool, but its just too close.

I'm guessing Febuary 2012 is when we will get this game
