An unlockable through the Living Tower? That would be awesome!
 
I think the tower unlockable is someone to play against, not as. Same like in MK and MKII when you had to do certain thinks to unlock a fight with Smoke and Noob. As much as I wanted him in the game here, I could see this being Rain.

Or... Smoke and Noob since they're not playable either.
 
Amazing trailer. The next 20 days can't go by fast enough.

Up until now I would have bet my bottom dollar that Liu Kang would have been the surprise boss but this trailer certainly takes the surprise out of it. As of now I am shifting my theory...

Possible final bosses- Raiden, or Dark Raiden. Though this does not suggest someone being "brought back" as Ed Boon said... Shang Tsung is a possibility. He was the boss in the first one, perhaps they think it is fitting to have him return for X. Whomever it is I imagine they do not play a role in most of the story and we won't see him/her coming.

I TOTALLY forgot about the secret fight unlockable character in the Tower.
Yeah, that would make it 35, then. :-D
I'd be fine with Fujin and Reiko being the 2 unlockables, though. ;)

We didn't unlock Cyber Sub at the halfway point.

Those two achievements are probably just there to let you know hhow much more you have left of the story.

17 thru 24 = 8 new in MKX

Kombat Pack:

Based off of that, we were speculating the possibility of another Kombat Pack (if the Kombat Pack II Gamefaqs rumor is true), which would be:

33 - ???

34 - Tower unlockable
35 - Story mode unlockable - per Ed Boon
 
Oooh nice, if the KP2 rumor is true then the characters are Smoke, Fujin, Li Mei and Spawn.

Though I believe the tower unlockable is just a fight, like the Noob, Jade, Reptile and Smoke fights in MK9, I hope I'm wrong though and it ends up being a playable character like Rain.
 
Wow. I have always disliked Kang. This really changed things.
Here's hoping we'll have an evil kang from now on, kind of like we had evil raiden.
 
Liu Kang might not be my favorite, but it certainly made my daddy's day.

My daddy loves Liu Kang, basically it's because he's the only character that he knows how to do the specials. But when I showed him that he's returning, heh... Now he wants to play.

So let's see, my brother's got Scorpion, I got Sub-Zero, my daddy's got Liu... I honestly don't know what my mom's favorite is. She loves Mortal Kombat too... actually, no I take that back, Sindel was my mom's favorite because of the hair. Unfortunately she's not playable, but she does make a cameo so I guess that counts.

Everybody wanted a Liu Kang firegod that would TRY to kick the thunder God's ass and etc.

Guy is calling Liu Kang a son.
