Second batch of DLC leaked?

Boon has said that he hated Tremor, yet he puts him in the Challenge Tower in Vita.
People kept speculating saying that Skarlet was a new character when they saw the leg art that Boon teased, and Boon replied that it WASN'T a new character.
Skarlet DID end up being a new character, and Boon kept denying it to cover his ass.
Boon said that the fans would vote for the DLC in MK9, never happened.
Ed Boon said that no MK character would be in Injustice.
Last time I checked, Scorpionwas an MK character.
There are various instances like this, where Ed Boon does crap like that so I take EVERYTHING that he says with a grain of salt.

Remember, Ed Boon's favorite holiday is April Fool's Day.
He's cried wolf too many times, and he could very well be serious this time, but I don't believe him.
He's lost my trust as far as truth goes for anything in the games he's doing.
Had he not been such a prankster to begin with, I may believe him more.

Everything Arak is saying is true.
Ed Boon is a big troll.

Exactly!

Just because he lied a couple of times and was bad at lying about it doesn't make him a troll, it makes him a liar.

Look up the definition of a troll before you go calling him one.

The biggest Boon lie? "We won't charge money for DLC like costumes, etc."

Fans' response? "LOL, they're not like Capcom or Call of Duty~!!"

End result? Two games in a row that have nickel and dimed fans for DLC.

When people say they are not like Capcom... they don't mean DLC costing money lol...

they mean NRS doesn't make something during the production cycle for the main game, puts it aside to sell later.

NRS actually works on the game post release. Capcom was caught selling stuff seperately that they already finished for the final product.

Also the Skarlet example was bad, because you could technical go both ways with her being new or not new as she was a "rumor" back in the day. She's NEW to play as, but the name, and color, and the fact she's a ninja isn't new.

Tremor example was also bad, You're allowed to hate a character and put them in the game anyways. It's called pleasing the fans. I didn't know prioritizing your fans over your own tastes was looked down upon.

you can't call foul on scorpion until the day he's revealed on INjustice, Otherwise you can't call it "fact" even if there is evidence supporting it. All you saw was cheese on some dudes face, that doesn't mean he ate your pizza, maybe he had mac&cheese.

on the DLC vote thing.

You could be right. (seriously listen to that, I'm saying you could be)

But maybe he planned to use the 4th slot for a vote, but MAYBE Warner Bros pushed Freddy on him? and you can't say "My bosses pushed it onto me" because then it makes your boss look bad... and well ****IF**** that was the case. I can hardly blame him for trying to keep his job.

I'm guessing you were addressing me below the dotted line, so I'll answer to everything under the dotted line.

Skarlet IS a new character because she's never been in an MK before, rumors don't count as revealed characters until NRS (or Midway back then) made them, such as Ermac.
If you want to get technical, Ermac was a new character in UMK3, and so was Skarlet in MK9.
People know about Zebron and Nimbus Terrfaux too, but if they appeared in MK10, I guarantee that Ed Boon would call them NEW characters, regardless of their rumored almost MK game appearances, which never previously happened.

What about Skarlet? She was a rumored secret character from MKII, right?

Ed Boon said:
She was a completely rumored character. She never existed, she was born out of a rumor. It got such legs that a name actually came out of it; there was never a glitch that turned Kitana red, that never existed. That was just an urban legend like Animalities and Ermac — a rumor that we eventually wanted to make true.

As for Tremor:
Ed Boon publicly stated that he hates the character Tremor, and when people asked for him to be in MK9, he kept saying that Tremor has no chance of being in MK9.
Lo and behold Tremor was put in MK9, on the Vita Challenge Tower as a half-assed character with moves from Jax, his fighting stance from Smoke, and his grunts from Scorpion.
He wasn't a full-fledged character and Ed Boon putting him in the Challenge Tower, as a copy-paste character felt like Ed's way of saying "He's in the Challenge Tower, now shut up about him."
What the fans wanted was a fully playable Tremor DLC or roster character on the home consoles, not some half-assed character that can ONLY be played on the Challenge Tower and ONLY on Vita.

I never said that Scorpion was "Fact."
Those are YOUR words, not mine.
Considering that Lobo and Batgirl were revealed in order from their leak (1st and 2nd respectively), Zod and Scorpion are most likely the next 2.
Mind you, the leak was revealed on April 19th, 3 days after the game came out, and so far 2 of those characters were revealed in THAT order.

Hell, I'd seriously be shocked if those 2 WEREN'T next.

On the DLC vote thing, the ONLY character that people voted for, that made it into MK9 was Rain, and the ONLY reason he was included was because Boon got BOMBARDED with people harassing him about Rain not being in.
Freddy was a NRS decision.
Was it a NRS decision to brown-nose WB?
Probably, but regardless it was a NRS decision.

None of the fans voted for Skarlet, Kenshi or Freddy, and that's a FACT.

So what is the inspiration for bringing Freddy Krueger to Mortal Kombat as a DLC character?

Ed Boon said:
It was a number of things. It’s kind of hard to choose a character who would fit well into the Mortal Kombat universe, with the blood and violence that’s so associated with it. Kratos from God of War is a brutal, bloody character, so he makes sense. When we had the discussions about the DLC characters, we knew that we wanted to add a returning character, a new character, but also a guest character. That was one of the goals right from the beginning. A number of names were run by us: Jason, Michael Myers and all those guys. Freddy Kreuger, we felt, was the most instantly recognizable and he fits in with Mortal Kombat with his claws. It just seemed like the best fit.

Ed Boon has wanted guest characters in an MK game since the early MK days, you know, before WB bought them out and they were a little company known as Midway.

Ten, 15 years ago when Mortal Kombat was early in its lifespan, did you ever fantasize about getting Freddy Krueger into MK?
Ed Boon said:
Yeah, yeah. Over the years, we’ve certainly had a number of conversations about guest characters. At one point, we had a conversation about having a group — imagine Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre — of all these killers from the 80s and 90s flicks come in as a group of characters. We never got a grip on how we would do it, whether they’d be DLC characters or what. But yes, we’ve had lots of conversations over the years. We also wanted to introduce a character who was unexpected. This DLC thing opens the doors to realizing these ideas. Kratos was one we discussed as a DLC character a number of times, but luckily we could include him as the initial cast of characters [in the PS3 version]. With Freddy, we felt like the stars had aligned — it was time to do it.

As for Rain, here's proof of Ed saying what I just said, backing up my point:

PSB: said:
What is your process for choosing DLC characters? Why did you begin with Kenshi, who was the only character from the Deadly Alliance games to make the jump?
Ed Boon said:
I’ve personally always big a big fan of Kenshi, as were many of the guys on the MK team. So we gravitated to Kenshi. We always knew we’d add Rain right from the beginning. I was bombarded for weeks on Twitter with fans begging for Rain, so I had a little fun with it. Each DLC character, I believe, satisfies a certain group of our audience that we knew was clamoring for it.

It's happening. They never even bat an eye to a Zatanna or Starfire request.

That kind-a confirms a second Season Pass and that the characters that are RUMORED are going to be the next 4 DLC characters. Sub-Zero aside, I will be very happy if those rumored characters are the other 3

I hope this is true. This DLC characters are awesome. Red Hood, Martian Manhunter, and Powergirl. I'll instantly buy all these characters.

"Powergirl needs to be dlc"

Go fluff yourself. Real talk.

I thought I hated Kratos in MK9. I thought I hated Batgirl. But I legitimately despise Powergirl. If I had the choice of wiping my ass with either my hand or angel soft toilet paper with her name on it, I'd be walking around with the stink fist all day.

fluff her
fluff her fans
fluff everyone who thinks this is a good idea

yes. Yes I mad
