Second batch of DLC leaked?

Why does it matter if there is more than one ice character? There are 10 characters in MK9 that use fire, 8 characters that use green energy, etc.
 
I think everyone just needs to accept the fact that fighting games are going to have guest characters. Freddy Kruger was the top selling DLC for Mortal Kombat and all everyone did was complain.

Some people complained about Freddy, myself included, but more people complained about Kratos because he was on the main roster.
I have LESS of a problem with guest characters if they are DLC only, because I don't have to download it and I can just get the compatibility pack.
On the other hand, main roster guest characters are a BIG bunch of bullshit because no one should have a guest character FORCED upon them, that they don't want in the first place.

Yeh but I mean worst case scenario, you have to play against the character. You never really have to select him if you don't want. There will always be people you hate playing against. Like Jade in MK3...ugh 15 years and I still hate playing against her.

I'm just always about more more more. The more characters, stages, costumes the better. Plus it adds a little diversity.

That's not even a point of comparison.
Jade = Mortal Kombat character.
Kratos =\= Mortal Kombat character.
Even though I don't have to select him, he shows up on the ladder and he also has a special stage which shakes and gets annoying quick.
Unfortunately, I don't have the option to delete him off the main roster or the stupid stage either, which I wish NRS would have given us the option to do.
He was a character that I never wanted, to begin with, and nonetheless he was forced down my throat.
Also, in order to get the "Arcade Champion" Trophy on PS3, I also had to use Kratos to get it.
So, yes, I was forced to use him.
That could have just as well been done by making him DLC and having a compatibility pack for him, just like Freddy Krueger.

That being said, there's no way in hell that Kratos deserved a spot on the main roster before Rain, who actually was an UMK3 character during that era, like the rest of that cast in MK9.

I have no problem getting the compatibility packs, like I did for MK9, but they should keep that guest shit off the main roster.
 
How is kratos not an mk type character? He barrowed from scorpion. Hell their story of losing their wife and child and being manipulated are almost the same. They even use chained weapons. lol hes more Mk then Freddie yet Freddie is more excepted. It's funny. But what ebber.

1) I never said he wasn't an MK type character, he's just not an MK character. Big difference.
2) I was forced to use him, unlike Freddy.
3) My point was that guest characters are fine, just keep them off the main roster.

The only thing I agree with is that Rain should have been on the roster. He is my favorite character of all time. However I didn't curse out against Kratos because of it. I believed Nether realm would do the right thing and give us Rain. You'll never make everyone happy tho, so just be happy with what you're given, which is my point.

Plus I had xbox when I played my main run through MK9 so I never had to deal with him lol :reddy:

Ed Boon gave us Rain because it would make NRS money, not because of the fans.
It was a money ploy.
People who wanted to complete the UMK3 roster in MK9 and play as him (like me) had to buy him, guaranteeing NRS would make money on it.
The fact that the 2 (fans wanting the character and NRS profitability) went hand-in-hand is another story, but the 4 MK9 DLC were pre-determined WAY before MK9 came out.
Fans had nothing to do with it.
Had Rain not been MK9 DLC, people would have b****ed at Ed and NRS, and rightfully so considering that he's an UMK3 era character and MK9 is an MK1 thru UMK3 era game.
My point is that while I'm happy that we did get him as DLC, having a guest character on there before him is BS, since Rain should get priority over any guest.

Well, lucky for you then.
I had no choice but to use him in order to get that Trophy. :(



OT:
Sub-Zero and Scorpion being DLC in Injustice is fine with me, if the rumors are true.

Had Scorpion and / or Sub-Zero been on the Injustice main roster, then I could completely agree with people being upset with them being there, considering that they're not DC characters to begin with.

Although I am excited to see Red Hood. MM a little bit yet again, growing up, I always saw him get beat up in the Justice League show lol.

Sub-Zero, I'm not surprised. Oh well, I don't care anymore. Might as well add Liu Kang, Sonya, Raiden, Johnny Cage, and Kano -_-.

I don't understand how some people who were okay with guest characters in MK but it's not okay for MK characters to go into another game. I don't understand anymore.

It's because they never said MK9 was going to be an MK-only game. People just assumed that. They clearly said that Injustice is strictly a DC fighting game and they want it to be different from Mortal Kombat.

It was IMPLIED by Ed Boon that MK9 would be an MK reboot consisting of MK1 thru UMK3 characters ONLY, with the possibility of post-MK3 characters (or some new characters) being DLC.
Nothing was ever mentioned about guest characters until the few moments leading up to the Kratos reveal, which is why people were pissed.
People didn't want guest characters of ANY kind in an MK reboot game.
After Kratos was announced, then people were like "F*** it, if Kratos is in, why can't __________ be in?"

This one was easy, because our story was always focused on the chapters of Mortal Kombat 1, 2 and 3.
If you have a favorite character from one of those games (MK1 thru UMK3), there's a pretty good chance they'll be in this game.

I don't mind guest characters as long as they're not a part of any other fighting franchise.

You want scorpion and subzero? Go play MK.
