I know it probably isn't Kai but I've been hoping he'd get a shot at being "THE MAN" so to speak for a good little while now. Thinking that MKX will have a significant portion of MK4 events in it, my hopes are higher than ever now. I'll be pissed if he doesn't make it in, dude. Liu Kang and Kitana having a son is something I really wouldn't care to see but maybe others would. I think that having too many children of past characters is lazy storytelling. I'd like to see uncles, aunts, brothers, etc.
 
I would really like to see Havik and Hotaru, but I don't see it likely. They don't really fit into this game. Oh well, can always hope for next game!

we just got to wait and see maybe it kung jin that going to replace liu kang as the heart and soul of mortal kombat
 
I know I tend to be in the minority, and its unlikely to happen based on the cameos so far in the comics. But I dont want them to bring anyone else back. Ive played as all these characters forever. Im done with them. I want them to pretend most of the characters in the old games (MK4-Armageddon) never existed.

Hand pick a couple if you must, but run with the clean slate idea, please.
 
I just feel like....those characters a lot of you guys want them to include used to be the "new" guys. You know?

How about letting them run with it and go to new and creative places instead of retreading the past.
 
The more and more i think of it, I really want Reiko to return. hopefully he won't want to have Shao Kahns Helmet though!
 
So this is what happened a few years ago when designers and developers gathered at a brainstorming meeting:

- So guys what character can we create now? What sort of powers?
- What about a lady with light powers.
- Neat... her name should be Ashrah, because whatevs...
- That's great, so.. if she has light powers... we should dress her like a lamp...
- A white lamp...
- Nice one guys, this is aaaawesome! gotta go and make a drawing of that b¡tch.

Injustice was ten times better than MK9 at doing justice to its characters, and MK9 was a hundred times better than all previous MK games put together. Yes, technically it's true that some of MKX's returning characters have existed for 15 years, but with many of them, we're only on the cusp of actually understanding what they're about as characters, and what NRS's vision for them is.

That's not to say I want a 100% returning roster, far from it, but I don't want to write the oldies off either. Characters like Johnny Cage, Mileena, Baraka, Reiko, Fujin, and Shinnok, at the very least, have a lot to offer this game.

When the stream actually comes I expect Kitana and Reptile gameplay, and the NRS dudes will probably drop a bit of info on stuff like the clan system or something secondary like that.

What I'd freaking love is a full character reveal trailer with variations and commentary like they did for Kano. That stuff is the best, better than streams for me.

yeah i agree with this. like im exited for the next live stream but ill be underwhelmed if all we get is a demo of kitana and reptile and maybe a new stage.

id be far more exited knowing every live stream was a character reveal with included in depth gameplay demonstration like they did with kano and raiden. They should do just that once a week :) that would be the Tits

You know I could see this really happening in the back of their previous midway studio. To be honest they have come up with some really lazy and boring characters, but I guess what fighting game hasn't.
