Resident Evil: Retribution

I'll see this movie because I've seen the past 4 in theaters with my friend and movie tickets at the theater I go to are only $4-$6. So it's not a big deal to me.

Yeah we know the movies suck, but we go because the movies are funny....for all the wrong reasons.

i can't believe this abomination of a movie franchise still exist.

There are basically two kinds of people:

The ones who like the movies because they have never played an RE game so they don't have the game to compare it to.

The ones who hate the movies because they have played RE and are angry that the movies are the complete opposite of the games in which the movies suck major dick and the actual characters from the game are made to be secondary characters in the movie behind Alice, some garbage character that no one gives a damn about.

I fall in to the second one.

I'm probably the only RE fan who enjoyed RE2:Apocalypse :|

Yea.. It's not "RE2" without Leon, Claire, and Ada, but I really loved the way they portrayed Raccoon city in the movie.

THere are times when I wish I had a no thanks button.

Good guy Nemesis should void all of anything you think might've slightly resembled "Good"

.... Bro, that's just my opinion :|

I gave you the reason why I liked the movie, the movies wasn't the best and Nemesis turning good was a turn off but I looked beyond that and enjoyed the things I liked instead of being all butt hurt about them making huge changes from the video game. If they followed everything by the game it would be like watching a playthrough in a sense and showing nothing new to distinguish it from the video game, now everything after this Movie pissed me off.. They made a "What If" Story instead of following the RE storyline.

I hate how Chris Redfield was portrayed as a pussy in my opinion + no grudge with Wesker equals pissed of me.

lol, I'm not bagging you dude, I just strongly disagree.

I just saw your post like

Well atleast someone molded the turd to look like something cool.

But it's still a turd :(

I know it's a what if. But the "what if" is so bizarre and way off it's annoying.

I mean atleast do a what if like MK9's what if.

Resident Evil movie's what if isn't even remotely close to ANYTHING. Nemesis barely chased jill, Nemesis was a friend of a main character that doesn't exist. Wesker had the parasite as a "power?" which confused me because that was SUPPOSE to be a mind control thing.

It stopped resembling Resident Evil on 2.

I guess yes atleast i was in the city and had a similar atmosphere (Set wise) but remember nicholai in that movie >.>

RE1, ATLEAST I could've saw that as

Well hey maybe this is a prequel, and since that girl was captured at the end, maybe she'll end up being someone we REALLY know later. And the next one will be about the main characters. Sort of like their way of destroying Resident Evil 0 (which I think the movie came out first?)

But nope,

What they did was take mk9, and add in aliens from outter space, while Making Quan chi the good guy, and making scorpion and Subzero best friends.

Yeah it's what if... what if Scorpion and Subzero were best friends and never killed eachother, and Quan chi killed them both to serve Netherrealm to save earthrealm.

the RE movies are THAT RIDICULOUS to me.

Like you can't even call it a what if anymore.
Their movies would've done ALOT better, if they didn't call it Resident Evil.

They didn't need to call it Resident Evil anyways, they are allowed to rip off the "Virus" type approach.

Atleast then people can look at it in another way and not resident evil. But because it's CALLED resident evil and they make characters that look like something resembling what I know of resident evil. It destroys it for me.

Mortal Kombat that pilot trailer they released where barakka was a doctor with blades? As a MK fan NO... if they had called it "underground Death battles" or something else, and it didn't resemble close ENOUGH to mk for me to realize their direction. It might've been a movie I could care about, but nope, They had to try and make it MK related which is why it gets my hate.

I gave you the reason why I liked the movie, the movie wasn't the best and Goku being a school kid was a turn off but I looked beyond that and enjoyed the things I liked instead of being all butt hurt about them making huge changes from the manga. If they followed everything by the manga it would be like reading the manga all over again in a sense and showing nothing new to distinguish it from the manga, now everything after this Movie pissed me off.. They made a "What If" Story instead of following the Dragonball storyline.
GTFO, this is basically what you're saying to me

"What if" story? **** that, I'd MUCH rather these movies actually follow the damn storyline closely

Instead of being forced to watch a barrage of slow-mo action scenes in an RE movie :?

Only good thing about Apocalypse was seeing Jill even though they made her a smoker.

Lol wut? Jill Valentine is the last RE character I'd expect to smoke, along with Ada Wong.

I agree with everything Critical, it's just I hate when people are like "DOOOD! SHUT UP THAT MOVIE SUCKS YOUR OPINION DOESNT MATTER HUR HUR" that shit really pisses me off, not saying that you did that but the person 2 posts above me did :|

Learn to actually read my posts before condescending me and my statements, dumbshit

Nowhere does my post say or even imply that your opinion doesn't matter, as a matter of fact, it did matter in that instance because I was targeting your reasoning as to why you like it and I was interested in what you would say about it

I'm glad stuff like that pisses you off though, because I'll do anything to piss you off :proud:

I told you why I liked the movie already, and I'm sorry for assuming that you didn't give two shits about my opinion.

Piss me off?

Wow, 3 seconds of me being mad.

*facepalm*

DUH

I already ****ing know that you told me why you liked it, or else I wouldn't have responded to your other post the way I did, or instead of saying "TARGETING your reasoning", I would have said "I wanted to know your reasoning"

Go stand in a corner somewhere, Vital, seriously

3 seconds of mad= u still mad

U mad?

Nope, not at all 8)

You think I'm going to let a Big lip 6th grader ass lookin' tigga make me mad?

Decided since I got a car, might as well go see this movie.

I'll probably see it alone or take 1, if not both of my two friends that are Resident Evil fans. If Ada and Barry weren't in this movie, then I'd have no interest.

I just want to see how the actors will play their parts.

I'll be sure to take a suicide note with me.

This movie was terrible! Oh my lord, 95% of the movie was just...just...STUPID.

Jill Valentine was mind-controlled but not even by Wesker! Umbrella is STILL operational?! WUT?

This movie COMPLETELY threw Resident Evil out the window. The ending is probably the dumbest shit you could EVER imagine.

Was it worth the 12 dollars to see it? YES. Every penny.

I saw it with my two friends Adrian and Kevin and it was a blast because they too are huge RE fans so all we did was make fun of the movie and question so many things. I had a great time! If you see this movie, you HAVE to bring RE fans with you to make the experience fun.

Other good thing?

They nailed Ada and Barry. They were straight up perfect. Ada's costume was like 98% accurate and her character was great.

Also, the movie paid homage to things only RE fans would recognize, partially compensating for all the dumbshit.

Do I recommend seeing it? Yes. But you need to go in and leave with a positive attitude. Don't *****. Just be happy that RE is on a movie screen. I loved seeing Barry and Leon team up.

So the movie itself was mediocre, and very very stupid. A horrible RE movie but the little things it gave were quite awesome.

Movie = 4/10

Experience = Priceless

Plus the Leon and Ada moment in the movie was ****ing genius. I loved it.

Last weekend i have seen it with mine friends. Its really nice as its other series of movies. Really great horror movie. Alice fighting scene is also really nice to see.
