I obviously can't judge 100% off a demo.
But the GAMEPLAY to me is effing great. I like the movement. I like the fatigue system. I like the dodge/roll system. I like all the changes.
Now, Piers seems like the most boring character ever. I feel like he's being built up to die in this game. Just a feeling.
But I'll hold judgement until I play the game all the way through.
When it comes to scary....
Do you guys really think with your desensitized asses that they can ever make anything worthy of scaring you anymore?
I'm so desensitized since RE1-3, and a bit of Doom, as a kid. That I pretty much scared all the scare out of me already.
I really doubt they can make a game anymore that will scare me. Make me jump? maybe. But I'll never feel that dread feeling again. That impending doom feeling. I don't think it's possible anymore.
I'd imagine it'd be similar to riding a motorcycle. Your first few dozen rides are probably amazing. But you'll get diminishing returns as you get too use to it. You'll get desensitized to riding at 60+ mph with the wind in your face.
Just like you get desensitized to survival horror.
I know friends/family that are scared to death in Leon's Dragon's dogma demo. So I think it hits the feel. We're just too desensitized to see it.
There is no survival horror element in the demo though, and there won't be any in the game. Even Leon's section is mostly just shooting. Walking about in the dark doesn't equal horror atmosphere. The level of creepiness that RE once had in the PSX era (and let's face it, there wasn't a lot next to the likes of Silent Hill anyway) is dead, they didn't include any here. I might be desensitized but I can tell when they're not even trying.
again it's opinion based. So that claim is your personally feelings ont he matter.
Like I said I know people who got legit scared playing Leon's Dragon's Dogma demo.
I'm in the same boat as you. I don't think the shit is scary at all. But then again... Nothing scares me in the video game world anymore so I can't judge fairly.
all I'm saying is maybe we ought to chuck it up to the fact that we literally don't get scared anymore. Having fake dead bodies where some turn and some don't, scares some people. And
Veterans like us who play them all and conserve ammo anyways. feel like there's too much ammo. For those out there who just shoot everything. There isn't enough ammo.
so it's all opinioin based. I spam Melee attacks too much. a Habit I built from all the previous RE. The fatigue system forces me to waste bullets.
Hopefully it forces me to waste them at a steady pace comparable to how much I pick up.
I just haven't played it because it felt like it wasn't a part of the RE universe.
Hate Helena?!! Impossible! From the recent trailers I really want to know more about her.
and she has DAT ASS...
Dude, it's not part of the main story, but trust me, you'll love it. It's seriously awesome. It's one of my favorite RE games with 2 and 3.
if your that estatic about it I'll give it a shot if I ever run into it. I have no idea how to come about that game though.
I don't give a shit about anyone except Leon and Ada.
Everyone else can die for all I care.
Biased as ****
Wait, except Sherry. I like her.
Jill and Chris, Ada and Leon, I think both pairs have great chemistry, though Jill best sit on her fcking hands when around Chris.
