Rage Quiters in MKX should they be penalized?

I been wondering this since KI has the go to jail mark of shame which only allows you to play against other rage quitters for a set period of time. Nether MK9 or Injustice punishes anyone for rage quitting so the question remains Will this be included in MKX? Personally I'm all for it... if you can't take a loss and have to resort to this cowardly deed than you have no place among the fighting community.

I would really LOVE this system in MK X.
It would punish the people who rage-quit during matches and also punish the people that can't take a fatality being done to them, too.

As long as they don't disconnect from the server I'm fine with someone quitting. They will still get a loss and you will still get a win. But disconnections should be punished

It's not enough to penalize their stats!

How about fines and/or suspensions for rage quitters instead? Hit the rage quitters where it HURTS; their wallets!

And what about bad internet connection?? What ir the internet shut down in the middle of a match?
If you have a bad internet connection, then that's YOUR problem. There is absolutely no excuse for rage quitting. If you don't like the consequences of rage quitting, then don't play online.

Yes they should but it also sucks for someone who gets accidentally disconnected. Its hard enough going more then 1 fight with someone

So only people with a good connection deserve to play the online component?

Quit = Quitter gets a loss, loyal player gets a win
Disconnected = Player who dropped out gets no win OR! loss, loyal player gets a win

Different things effect an internet connection and it's usually out of our hands

For once I have to agree. I see the bad connection reason get used in every rage quit debate. I think something needs to be put in place for the greater good. After all if your connection is that bad you're rarely going to complete a match anyway. Your matches won't be lasting full time whether your opponent quits or not.

This game needs to be disinfected of rage quitters at ALL costs. The stiffer the consequences, the more it discourages rage quitters.

The funny think about elitism (especially over something that dumb, such as internet connections) is that it makes the elitist look like an a$$hole. There's too many factors for online play and connections to ever punish someone for disconnecting when it is not their fault.

For instance, my connection runs smooth and great! Unless someone starts to use the internet, then it lags, and sometimes disconnects. Sometimes its a friend or family using the Wi-Fi or internet on my laptop for something important... should I be penalized because I decide that my game is not important enough to tell people not to use the internet while I am playing?

I don't think its fair to anyone to say "my game is really important, so leave your online job applications for later while I fatality this dude."

Elitism, once again, is in absolution, and anything in absolution, is ignorant to secondary reasons and the shades of gray in our lives.

Leave your elitism elsewhere Tark Trash.

That being said, I think those who disconnect OFTEN or QUIT often should be penalized, but definitely not by attacking their wallets. There's so many possibilities and how that can go REALLY bad for consumers, and NRS.

maybe try something new, maybe debuffs like in test your luck. so say, you quit x amount of times you lose the ability to use meter and if you continue, you lose block and so forth.

Do you want to eradicate rage quitters or not?

If the answer is YES, then you want to do so at ALL costs.

See? There's not much of an arguement. To me if you gotta do it in absolutes, don't do it.

I don't care much for rage quitters, if you want to be a sore loser, go ahead. There will always be amateurs, noobs, and hooligans. I am not too crazy about online play (although I did play MK9 online A LOT)... local play is where it's at!
