Quan Chi Revealed

I noticed he now throws his skull projectile by using his face this time around, kinda remniscent to Sindel's spit ball. He no longer throws it with his hands. What do you guys think of that?

I'd prefer if he did it with his hands. Doing it with his face just doesn't seem right...

He could be hiding the real one from Shinnok.

Or maybe they noticed how dumb was to Quan Chi fight with the amulet he kept hidden from Shinnok for years on his waist.

I mean, is Shinnok that idiot? No wonder why they kicked him from Elder God's Mafia.

Kitty - The film is called "Zombi 2" by Lucio Fulci :)

I am just in shock, this is what I woke up to.

That fatality bit at the end is priceless. For some reason it reminds me of this horror flick that I cannot remember the name, but I always see it in a top ten gruesome death video, where this chick gets her eyeball impaled by a splinter of wood. It really reminds me of this movie, well, at least that part.

I am impressed once again, I freaking love this reveal!

I don't think he is even the Sub-Boss.
I think he will play a major role, like he and Shang Tsung did in MK9, but I think the Sub-Boss and Boss characters in MKX will also be unplayable, just like they were in MK9.

I could see him being like how Shang Tsung was in the arcade mode, being somewhat of a sub-boss in a way.

But I could also see the sub-bosses AND boss not being playable.

Ah, thank you!

Am I the only one that really wanted to see his Deadly Alliance concept staff be apart of his character for this game? I really want that thing to finally see light! That was probably the best part of his concept and they just... ditched it.

Yeah.
I could see him taking the Shang Tsung MK9 Ladder Mode role.
Playable and also appearing right before the unplayable Sub-Boss.

And seriously, if he takes the "third boss" place like Shang Tsung on MK9, that will be very nice.

Man, MK4 Quan Chi was like just a guy you found by occasion on Netherrealm and said "Oh! It's the Hellraiser guy!" and he got mad and fought you.

But if he is some kind of boss (you knwo what I mean), that would imply Shinnok...

or maybe Quan Chi allied himself with other. But, really? Not his style.

Yeah, it totally reminded me of Zombie too. I thought it was going to go in his eye at first.

Possibly, but maybe he also back-stabs Shinnok and aligns himself with Kotal Kahn.
Quan Chi is known to jump ship in MK9 from an allegiance with Shao Kahn to an allegiance with Shinnok.

He was already in cahoots with Shinnok to begin with.

You act as if something like this isn't possible:

Quan Chi has historically known to be a conniving snake / puppetmaster, pulling the strings to make things work in his favor.

But i think in mk9 his entire purpose was to Ally with khan to assist shinnok. Quan chi was ALWAYS allied with Shinnok until After MK4.

I know that, and that's exactly the point. There is no way to ignore Shinnok!

I've been thinking about that too, though.

What if Shinnok isn't the Boss in MKX?
Ed said that Outworld have various people on the MKX roster ruling over it, one of them being Kotal Kahn.
What if someone else becomes the Boss?

Yes, but my point for bringing that up is that Quan Chi pretended to align himself with Shinnok, to then align himself with Shang Tsung and form the Deadly Alliance.
Now that Shang Tsung is dead and the Deadly Alliance can't be formed with Shang, what if Quan Chi has other motives in MKX?

I also think about it, but when I mentioned Shinnok as being a key character, someone important.

I really hope the boss is Onaga :P

Tired of beating humanoid chars!

But by Shinnok's nature, we can imagine him not being THE BOSS, but he probally will pull some strings.

Except Quan Chi's. Because this one...haha...this one is a hell of a manipulator.

Oh yeah that is right, idk, maybe he is the main reason for kotals Fall from power?

Man oh man this waas a good reveal imo.. someome said it in another post that it would be the someone who wasn't hinted at. So far this and the raiden reveals have really blown me away.. every aspect of Quan chi is very dark and evil, from his outfit, his intro and all that. The warlock and summoner variations look really strong, i hope theres a move in summoner that spawns aa fallen earthrealm fighter (jax, smoke, kitana etc.)but what really makes him nasty is that xray, i love when he stomps on kanos neck, the bones quiver before they break! Really adds to the effect.. the fatality looks like its just pure evil
