Hmmm, the HVS facebook page has deleted all the comments on the 'post to this page' section. Could be a 'monthly clean up thing' but yeah not a good sign if otherwise...
 
Hey guys, I'm new here.

Great thread! I'm in the last gen boat too. I preordered mkx for the 360 back in February, paid in full so I feel everyone's pain. HVS has updated their Facebook page, telling us to forward all questions to Warner Bros.

That seems like a very passive aggressive approach, knowing that WB will never offer a satisfactory response. What is going on here?

I agree i would also need a new T.V. for the Xbone so it would cost me at least 500-700 bucks not including the game(s)
 
HVS used to have, or it seems they still have, a strict NDA with WB. Meaning HVS does the work and WB talks. Sadly WB isn't the most transparent company around. I think that either WB gave them an order to zip up or they decided to forward it themselves after seeing the overwhelming amount of questions. Although they took their time, they always seemed nice when I talked to them. Imho HVS is somewhat of a hostage. I think after all the DLC comes out and Gamescom will be near, they will finally spill the beans and give us a release date. Talking about last gen now is not a concern to them because they don't need to. They already made more $$$ with current gen than they hoped for. But trust me, they're not cancelling it. At least right now. It's coming out between mid July and mid September. Focus on that window and pray.
 
WB doesn't give you jack shit as far as answers go. Trying to inquire about the Android version of the MKX app in the Support forum, for example, is like trying to win Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun.

The fact is, WB doesn't give a damn about you, only what's in your wallet, and their flagrant lack of transparency shows this.

I agree 100% WB is shooting themselves in the foot with how they're handeling this....I will never preorder a game ever after this.
 
Honestly, considering how broken the PC port was and how bad HVS's support for the game has been, I wouldn't really expect much from the previous gen versions. It's probably gonna be a broken mess.

Also, I know that in some foreign countries, the PS4 is the equivalent of about $1500 USD, but the PS4 doesn't have any region locking. Why not go online to a U.S. store that ships worldwide and order one that way? Might pay a bit for shipping, but better than $1500! Hell, I ordered a Toy Story Blu-ray box set from the UK for less than half the price Disney sells it in the US. The internet is awesome for importing.

Can't speak for the rest of the countries but at least here in Arg, it WOULD be cheaper, yes, but we don't use dollars as our main currency, and getting/paying with dollars themselves is costly and kind of hard, so it's not an easy thing to do.

Say if you make a Paypal account, wouldn't they do the conversion for you? I'm Canadian and when I use my account to buy from American/British retailers, they do the conversion. If the Argentinian Customs and Border aren't that strict, I suggest you try to buy and ship online.

Now why would Customs be concerned with a damn gaming console? It's not like the PS4 and XBone are massive shipments of drugs.

Yeah. It's the same in Europe. Been like that for a couple of years now. Before we didn't have to pay for importing stuff, but now we do. Probably because the government hates the fact people can buy online stuff they can't buy locally in retail.

Try that in Brazil and see if conversion rates + customs' overtaxing will make it any easier for you. Might save a buck, but not much - and that's if you save anything. Brazilian customs are hell.

Believe me, I'm a record collector, well familiar with importing. I'm not even talking about proper taxes, I'm talking about overtaxing, which is usual. Now, I'm not saying have pity on us poor Brazilians, because I can't say that I've been caring much lately... That's not the point. I'm just saying that nop, life hasn't been much easy around these parts lately and that's it. The "buy a new console already" argument doesn't work as well as it could if we were in a different country.

Same argument MitsuharuSan made for Brazil also works for Argentina. Didn't think Brazil had the same problems as us with importing and overtaxing.

At this stage, I couldn't be more thankful for my lady buying me an Xbox One at the end of last summer. I was honestly considering getting this game for previous gen before she got it for me.
