But its not immoral to tell people to budget themselves and plan ahead for future purchases. Last gen ended two years ago. That ship has sailed. If you love gaming, stick with the games you have or budget yourself for an upgrade.

The game, Mortal Kombat X, was announced for XB360 and PS3. So there's nothing wrong with people expecting the game to come out.
Telling people to "lol, upgrade" is just a douchebag thing to do. If the game wasn't announced for past gen consoles, then they would have to upgrade to new gen consoles to get the game, obviously, but that isn't the case here.
Also, it is so incredibly ignorant for people to assume that everyone can just buy a console. Some people don't have the luxury to afford it for whatever reason, whether it is because they live in a poor country, don't have a job, or simply have other priorities and expenses such as car, house and family.
Going "lol, upgrade" only makes people look like asshole douchebags. It's not helping anyone.

I don't disagree with this, however like incubus said, a game was announced for last gen. If there was no game ever announced for last gen, and the people made a stink about upgrading, then yes I agree that's their problem and no one else's.

The new gen consoles were on the horizon a year or two before they came out. That's great that MKX has been announced to come out for PS3 and 360, but what about MK11? Lots of other companies have completely dropped last gen.
I wasn't specifically saying "lol, upgrade." But after this year, I doubt there will ever be any last gen ports.

Then tell me, with your condescending attitude...how do you expect fans in markets like Brazil and Argentina to upgrade, when the new consoles are priced the equivalent of USD in the thousands in those markets?! Hmm?! HMM?! Are you going to throw THOSE fans under the bus?! We have some of those same fans on this very website, and this "upgrade now" attitude is equivalent to flaming those exact fans!

Last gen won't be supported by the time MK11 comes out so the circumstances change entirely. At that point, yeah there's no way people should expect a last gen port.
Bottom line pretty much is that since a last gen port was announced from the get go, there's absolutely zero reason for anyone to tell last gen users to upgrade for the sake of wanting to play MKX.

Well... point taken. Bruzzy didn't tell people to "lol, upgrade" though, he just supported the notion that if people want something not available to the past gen, they could save money for the new gen. But again, not everyone have that luxury.

It seems that everyone has misunderstood me. I am fully aware that people want MKX for last gen, that's fine and dandy because they are getting a port. I'm just pointing out that last gen is done and likely won't be supported anymore.

No Brother, I understand that part perfectly. I don't think that the past gen users are that unreasonable however. I think that after this release, they SHOULD TRY to attempt to upgrade in the coming years, especially if they want to play the next MK Game. Your point would gain precedence if MK11 were announced and people make a stink if it weren't announced for past gen. I just don't think people (on this site at least) would do that.

I know that. But for THIS particular game it was announced it would be a last gen port. Nobody in their right mind thinks the next one will be ported.

Exactly, that's the point I'm trying to make. Anyone who does is being unreasonable, and I think Bruzzrad is saying there will be people behaving that way. But I don't see that happening on TRMK at least.

In my experience, people who give the "upgrade now" rhetoric are generally assholes. Like the aforementioned spader, for example. There are higher priorities than a damn $400 console, especially in this economy.
