This render is simply the best one yet. One of my 2 "must have" characters is in the game at last. The other being Shao Kahn. But that's beside the point. My point is, which is better? This Joker? Or the Dark Knight Joker?

I'm going to cast my vote right now for THIS Joker. Now please do not confuse my meaning, I absolutely adored Heath Ledger's performance in TDK. In fact it was good enough to see the movie twice in one weekend. But I HATE HATE HATE the messy make-up look. His clothes were perfect, his face was all wrong. And that brings me to this topic.

This Joker is classic. Everything the Joker should be. Bright purples, oranges, and greens. But Ledger's outfit was never a point of concern. And the face is where this render really shines. His manic grin, his white skin, his crazy curved eyebrows, they're all amazing. This is how I always pictured the Joker in my head. He's a gentleman and a narcissist. The Joker thinks he's the best thing since sliced butter and he dresses how he feels.

The Joker wouldn't be caught dead with the messed up hair and make-up we saw in The Dark Knight. He simply would not allow it. And I for one, think I would have enjoyed Ledger's Joker even more than I did (which is a lot) if he had looked like this.
 
TBH, I like the Dark Knight Joker. The MKvsDCU look just... doesn't look right. Too.. gamey? I loved Ledger's Joker. The face paint and his clothing would make a better costume. Maybe as an unlockable costume?
 
The Joker has always been one of my 3 favorite villians (w/ Venom & Darth Vader), but I wish the MKvDC Joker was more like The Dark Knight's Joker played by Heath Ledger. But I do agree w/ Glam that this Joker render is the best of all so far.

He wll be my main, and the first character I play with when I get this game.
 
I knew they'd do him better for this game. DCU Online looks like crap. The Joker looks like a plaster mold! I mean jeez, did you SEE his face!?
 
I got to say that the DK joker is by far the best. Ledger's performance was legendary. The look he had in that movie made it more... real, which is perfect for the movie. I think that look would be better for MK, and that this new render would be better for.... better batman games.
 
I loved TDK Joker for performance and character reasoning, but the Joker they put in the game is perfect. They kept the purple outfit which is alright, but his face is perfect. He looks evil, rather than funny and cartoonish.

TDK Joker just wouldnt work in this game. Ledgers character was awesome because of his performance. Imagine that characters appearance in this game. Besides the scar smile, it just would not look as good. The are going back to the comics for all the characters and TDK Joker is not a comic character.
 
I'm for in game Joker, besides DC told Midway explicidly NOT to make and to stay away from movie versions of the DC characters. Boon said this in quite a few interviews already.
 
i like both but i got to stay true to the original joker. dark knight is great but for overall joker, classic is the way to go. hopefully both will be in the game
 
TDK Joker. I'm not too impressed with the render-- he looks too damn much like a cartoon. Maybe it's just because I was so enthralled by Heath Ledger's performance that I find it impossible to see him any other way, but this version of the Joker seems to fit in even less with the MK look than the other DC characters.
 
Well the Joker doesn't fit in with normal people anytime. I just hate the scars and messy makeup so damned much...
 
I like the traditional Joker for MK. You kind of expect to get brutalized by Ledger's Joker. The gentlemenly Joker in the render is just creepier.
 
They both have their sinister properties. I think this version will work great for the game, as there's really nothing meant to be realistic about the game. So it has to be over the top and somewhat cartoonish to fit into the MK and DC universe. The movie joker has more realistic properties, like the story of the scars for his smile, fitting with the 'why' of the makeup. I like the DK joker better, just because I enjoy realism, but I separate from that when I play games.
