Uh thats a bit of stretch to say considering Tremor was released only recently while Tanya has been out longer + has way more character usage. I would bet that months later both would still be at the bottom of the list.

and most people outside of MK community didn't even know who Tremor was, another exaggeration. You can't put him on the same level as those horror movie characters who are even more played than some of the non DLC characters. Having a Tremor bias is fine but don't let that cloud reality.

Tremor has aesthetic appeal though. Regardless of how many people don't know him, his design draws them in. Whereas Tanya, from an aesthetic standpoint, isn't nearly as appealing. Tremor is a hulking rock monster with glowing eyes and an MK ninja theme. Tanya is just an Egyptian looking chick. When they reveal the sales, I'm certain Tremor will trump Tanya. The guests tho? Not a chance in hell.

A real mk fan would buy even meat over predator

A real MK fan supports the series' growth and isn't close-minded to change.

How is that close minded. You want the series to be a fighting game for guests or you want the mk characters to shine

I what universe is a hulking rock monster more appealing than an Egyptian looking female?

Sadly, though, I must agree with you -- in MK male characters are always more popular than female characters, no matter what.

And characters from teen slasher movies are even more popular...

Yeah, Tanya could be as exciting as can be and she'd still do poorly by comparison because she's the female. That's just how it works in MK, unfortunately. Capcom games don't seem to have this problem for whatever reason.

(IMO she has a great aesthetic, especially with this redesign and the flashy new weapon stuff.)

Sure, he may have just come out, but I can see him outselling Tanya by the time that a year has passed by.
I should have been more clear on that.
I meant to say that overall he'll likely outsell Tanya as DLC, when all is said and done.

Uh..... I didn't put him on the same level as Predator and Jason.
I'll post it here again, since it looks like you skipped that part of my post and didn't bother reading it, and just hit the reply button without reading properly:
I'm pretty sure that Predator outsold every MKX DLC character, followed by Jason, then Tremor, then Tanya.
The amount of people wanting Predator, Jason and Tremor FAR outnumbers the amount of people that wanted Tanya.
I'm sorry if your bias has blinded you, but the facts remain that the Tremor petition had 5,000+ signatures and there weren't nearly that many requests for Tanya.
That's not me saying what I wish.
No, those are cold hard facts.
The likely sales order of all DLC, when it's all said and done is either Predator or Jason being in 1st place, with Tremor after that and Tanya after that.
Character usage means jack shit when people vote with their wallets and BUY him.
I bought Tremor as DLC (along with the rest of the Kombat Pack), but I hardly use him because he doesn't fit my playstyle like I hoped that he would.
You see?
That logic is flawed, because who I use the most are Sub-Zero and Takeda.
Lots of people could have bought into the Tremor hype and not used him afterwards when they realize that he may not fit their playstyle.
I know a few people who bought Skarlet and dropped her a week later because she didn't fit their playstyle.

I what universe is a hulking rock monster more appealing than an Egyptian looking female?

In every universe.
Sorry, but the hulking rock monster wins just about every time as DLC for a casual who doesn't know about either character prior to MKX, over a plain-looking female character.
It's just the way it is.

It's the same way that horror characters will always outsell regular MK characters as DLC, so NRS will continue to have horror guests.

The one the only Fujin ....anybody?
Going by the various MK forums and GameFAQs, he seems to be the clear front-runner in terms of general requests and expectation. If we get more characters and he's not one of them then I think we'll all be fairly surprised. I'll also be very disappointed.

A lot of people seem to want Noob Saibot as well, although I'm quietly confident he (along with Shang) is being kept in reserve for MK11.

I'll be supremely disappointed if we just get Baraka, Sindel and Rain. I mean, I'd love to see Rain (ideally for free) but Baraka and Sindel are just so boring.

I can't imagine them making 4 more DLC characters and not include a guest character. It's sad to say that but they've made 2 guests in the first KP, And if they release 4 pure-mk characters, then I'd be pleasantly surprised.

I want NRS to keep making MK games, and while I may or may not always agree with the guests that they pick for that game, ultimately more DLC character sales = more money for NRS, which means more MK games for us in the future.

Trust me, I used to be in the same boat during MK9 until I realized that A) other people buying guest characters doesn't affect me unless I face a guest character online (which was REALLY rare for me) and B) you don't even have to download the guests characters.
In MK9 you could just get the compatibility pack and in MKX the guest characters are patched in via updates.
So, even with the updates, unless you download that character, the chances of you playing against a guest character are slim to none.
How does a guest being DLC mean that MK characters won't shine?

They have to release 4 characters to keep the columns and rows in the select screen equal... Fujin, Rain, Sindel and Sareena. HAHA

They could do the same with just 2 more characters after the Kombat Pack, like NRS did with Injustice, after the Season Pass.
I.E. - Fujin and Sareena. :-D

With the exception of an obvious person, MKX gave me every character I wanted. The icing on the cake is that Tremor is finally legitimatized as a character. I've been waiting for that to happen since Special Forces!

Still, I stand firm on my belief. MKX would benefit more from having a story pack (IE more chapters inserted) than more playable characters. The game's story finished far too quickly and so many questions were left unanswered. Ideally, a story pack would have:
1. Chapters for Kenshi, Erron Black, Ferra/Torr, and Reptile to fill in the missing pieces and give a different perspective on the action
2. Kano's one line mention about Tremor
3. Fujin as a selectable fighter

Yea keep Noob away he's cheap and kind of a throw away character......thats right i said it....

But we want a story!!!!!! I need to know how this Sareena relationship evolves... I want to see little Noobs running around a happy cleansed Netherrealm.

Ugh, stop with the "true fan" bullshit. If you're a fan of Mortal Kombat, you're a fan. Who cares if you buy guests. They're apart of the game and considered kombatants.

I bought them, I like them. I have no problem with guest characters. I don't think there's going to be another guest character if they make another pack, but even if there was, who cares? Some will get them, others won't.

You're a fan either way.
