Online is STILL an issue - Despite the "fixes"

^ Agree. I'v had a lot less issues. I get a "no sessh" here and there. Maybe every 10-15 games. comp. pack is an issue more than half the time. no big deal. My first and second main are on the game. I also main Rain though.

I had one of the best Scorpions online back in May when online was better but since then the button delay online has crippled my Scorp, shattered my Sub, and rendered my Ermac to garbage. I am so dissapointed with MK9 online that I went back to playing MK VS. DC online. At least the lag is minimal with MK VS. DC when there is lag and overall the connection for gameplay is WAAAAAAAAAY better than MK9.

If you were destroyed by lag and couldn't adapt AND decided to whine about it every other post of your on these forums, I doubt you are a skilled player. Maybe a good one, but not a skilled one...

Some of you that use default controls and choose Alt 1 costumes out of PURE IMPATIENCE because you are so obsessed with your next game need to get off your high horse.

Desync IS STILL A PROBLEM for a percentage of us and telling us we're imagining things or our connection sucks is pure ignorance!

#1................. ummm? lulwat?

#2 no one ever said you were imagining things and 25% of desynchs are from connection, the rest is from problems with dlc

You just seem to be one of those desperate guys that will play MK9 under the worst circumstances and connection issues no matter what lmao. NRS loves guys like you because you accept CRAPPY service and still line their pockets with money. Kind of like eating a shit sandwich and smiling while your swallowing it.

Your the one that's been complaining for months, but still post in the MK9 sandwhich.

I'd say your the one that's meeting that criteria.

You don't see BrokenJanders running around complaining about lag, that's because not everyone shares the same experience as you. You probably have really bad mps rating for service and need to upgrade. You live in New york city.... your connection should be way better than most people. I'm gonna have to chalk it up to crappy service.

All I'm saying is... You jumped off what you consider shit... and dove right into more shit lol. I would just not play a MK game at all if you can't play 9. Because MKvsDC and Armageddon were complete trash when it comes to video game depth.

Deadly alliance, Deception were not that bad, but they also were pretty shallow. but they weren't epic bad like MKvsDC or Armageddon.

Mk9 is deep enough that since you live in New York City. I'm pretty sure you have a offline scene. Just a matter of your will to play it with other people in person.

I do play the game offline with players in my area and the game is great, but I guess you keep missing my comments about ONLINE hello...ONLINE game play. BTW, MK VS. DC was the best fighting game from 2008 all the way up to MK9 and most MK9 players if not all purchased MK9 based on how awesome MK VS. DC was you idiot. Just look at the fighting game greats like TylerLantern, HOODFRESH, CHECK4900 ect. if the game was so bad then why the hell did nearly 98% of their uploads were MK VS. DC matches? lol

WRONG. Most MK9 players purchased it based on the first three games and HELLO this MK is based on those games, so it's logic that all the hardcore MK fans came back to the MK scene. Yes, I admit some CASSUALS bought this game based on that crappy MK vs DCU, but saying most if not all did is just wrong.
And are you actually serious when you say Tyler and those others are fighting game greats? Go watch a tournament.

Not to praise anyone but the truth must be told because obviously you don't know much about GREAT players. TylerLantern was THE BEST MK VS. DC player and is now THE BEST MK9 player online and probably offline as well. Tournament players are good but not at the level of Tyler. I know him somewhat (his playing at least) and the guy is truly the BEAST. End of discussion.

how can you play offline in your area, but then think MKvsDC is a good game. That game is a laughing stock of competitive gaming. There is a reason alot of other people who play other fighters don't look at MK seriously and MKvsDC is one of them. The game is extremely gimmicky, alot of guessing game is involved and that guessing game often leads to infinites. There isn't enough reading going on. A really crappy gamer as long as he learns an infinite can beat someone way better than him because that game the combos were stupid easy.

Yo, check the name calling I didn't say a single bad word to you. Sorry if you find it offensive to be called out. Show me the statistics that say MkvsDC is the best fighting game of 2008? 1.) I bet no real fighting games were released that year to challenge it. 2.) People bought it in hopes of something good but were extremely dissappointed, myself included. 3.) Sales do not represent a games depth.

Let me use Super smash brothers brawl as an example. It sold more than melee by alot on release. That doesn't mean it's a better game. That's because the name brand itself sold because of how good the previous games were. As I said Deadly alliance and Deception were not that bad so I thought maybe MKvsDC was an improvement. Brawl was a huge step down in depth from meleee. They took out all the technical aspects and all the little mini things like light shielding, wave-landing. Added newb friendly stuff like auto-sweet spotting. And Defense was greatly favored meaning it was EXTREMELY not uncommon for time outs (In a game set to 8 minutes...) Yeah.... it was that bad. You are rewarded for camping in your shield unless you were meta knight.

Um... TylerLantern isn't out going to EVO and offline tournaments. I dunno how he counts. Go get some competitive fighting game knowledge man. There is a reason Street fighter players and EVEN TEKKEN players thought of MK as a joke, until MK9. MK9 actually had decent turnouts at the offline competitive scene. MK9 is so much better than MKvsDC you should be prioritizing playing with people offline only, and not care about online. Rather than switch to MKvsDC.

Don't get me wrong if you enjoy it, Fine. But don't say false things like it's the best fighting game from 2008 til now....

On one last Note: Game sales do not = Game depth.... I mean look at the BlazBlue and Guilty Gear series. They have some of the most balanced fighters with alot of deep in-game mechanics. But it's not casual friendly so their sales hurt. the game is pretty difficult for the average gamer.

Hey, maybe you should write a book! Thanks for investing so much time and thought into the semi-magazine length response you just posted. I always adore fans! :)

Yeah I'd really love to see Tyler being owned by PL, Reo, Justing Wong, etc Not to mention you said he, among others, was not a MK great, you said he was a FIGHTING GAME GREAT. You clearly have no knowledge of the tournament scene . There are other games besides Mortal Kombat.
Yup, now the discussion is finished and we can go back on topic =)

the only damn reason this thread still exists is because of warlock, and he just serves to insult and berrate ANYONE that disagrees with him.

Actually, I have had only a couple of "kinda" laggy matches, out of like 50, probably only 5. I don't know about you guys, but I add people on the PS3 that don't lag, and play with them. The online is pretty great in my opinion.
