how can you play offline in your area, but then think MKvsDC is a good game. That game is a laughing stock of competitive gaming. There is a reason alot of other people who play other fighters don't look at MK seriously and MKvsDC is one of them. The game is extremely gimmicky, alot of guessing game is involved and that guessing game often leads to infinites. There isn't enough reading going on. A really crappy gamer as long as he learns an infinite can beat someone way better than him because that game the combos were stupid easy.
Yo, check the name calling I didn't say a single bad word to you. Sorry if you find it offensive to be called out. Show me the statistics that say MkvsDC is the best fighting game of 2008? 1.) I bet no real fighting games were released that year to challenge it. 2.) People bought it in hopes of something good but were extremely dissappointed, myself included. 3.) Sales do not represent a games depth.
Let me use Super smash brothers brawl as an example. It sold more than melee by alot on release. That doesn't mean it's a better game. That's because the name brand itself sold because of how good the previous games were. As I said Deadly alliance and Deception were not that bad so I thought maybe MKvsDC was an improvement. Brawl was a huge step down in depth from meleee. They took out all the technical aspects and all the little mini things like light shielding, wave-landing. Added newb friendly stuff like auto-sweet spotting. And Defense was greatly favored meaning it was EXTREMELY not uncommon for time outs (In a game set to 8 minutes...) Yeah.... it was that bad. You are rewarded for camping in your shield unless you were meta knight.
Um... TylerLantern isn't out going to EVO and offline tournaments. I dunno how he counts. Go get some competitive fighting game knowledge man. There is a reason Street fighter players and EVEN TEKKEN players thought of MK as a joke, until MK9. MK9 actually had decent turnouts at the offline competitive scene. MK9 is so much better than MKvsDC you should be prioritizing playing with people offline only, and not care about online. Rather than switch to MKvsDC.
Don't get me wrong if you enjoy it, Fine. But don't say false things like it's the best fighting game from 2008 til now....
On one last Note: Game sales do not = Game depth.... I mean look at the BlazBlue and Guilty Gear series. They have some of the most balanced fighters with alot of deep in-game mechanics. But it's not casual friendly so their sales hurt. the game is pretty difficult for the average gamer.
