Onaga POTENTIALLY in mkx!

What kind of generic demon can defeats or kills raiden?

Raiden's outfit shows that's a flashback, so he's obviously not dead. If anything, it's this scene:

"We are then taken to a scene where Raiden and Fujin are battling hordes of Oni demons on the outskirts of his Sky Temple. Raiden is in his MK1 attire and Fujin is in a similar costume to his Armageddon primary, with a intricate hairband, shorter braided hair, wielding an impressive staffing Kombat. Raiden is suddenly overwhelmed by a group of Oni, but Fujin gloriously dismembers them with his staff and conjures a huge whirlwind to dispatch a larger number of their attackers."

How do you know that's a flashback, though?
Raiden was also seen wearing the same "MK1" costume in the 1st story trailer, when he captures Shinnok in the amulet, with Johnny Cage and Sonya wearing their MKX costumes.

Okay, that's Raiden's MK1 outfit, but it's also his outfit for during the Netherrealm Wars. Johnny and Sonya were wearing their NW outfits, too, not their 25 years later ones. It's a flashback. That scene's even described in the Chapter 1 spoilers.

That scene description says NOTHING about it being a flashback:

We are then taken to a scene where Raiden and Fujin are battling hordes of Oni demons on the outskirts of his Sky Temple. Raiden is in his MK1 attire and Fujin is in a similar costume to his Armageddon primary, with a intricate hairband, shorter braided hair, wielding an impressive staffing Kombat. Raiden is suddenly overwhelmed by a group of Oni, but Fujin gloriously dismembers them with his staff and conjures a huge whirlwind to dispatch a larger number of their attackers.

Quan Chi then appears in the distance walking amongst the wretched and demonic Oni with an undead Stryker, Kabal and Sindel at his side. Raiden tells him he is desecrating hallowed ground with his presence. Quan Chi proclaims that he has returned the three fallen warriors back to life under his control and he then orders them to attack Raiden and Fujin, which appears as no easy feat as Kabal cuts into Raiden's shoulders with his hooks words and Sindel deafens Fujin with her scream.

In fact, the part that I bolded, from that same scene, is very much after MK9, with Kabal, Sindel and Stryker all being dead and by Quan Chi's side.

Whaaaaaaat? No, dude, I'm saying it's a flashback to the Netherrealm War, before the present day 25 years later. Because it is. I'm not saying it's pre-MK9.

Well, my bad, then.
It sounded to me like you were alluding to it taking place before MK1.

No, no, I was just saying it's probably from that one Netherrealm War scene I mentioned above. I don't think we'll be seeing much of anything pre-MK1.

Oh FFS guys. The point is that MK1 costume Raiden is supposed to indicate that the story is taking place in the past, before the time of Cassie and Takeda.

This is Why Raiden needed an MK9 outfit for the Netherrealm war, cause this shits causing confusion

I'm completely clueless to whose the big bad now.
This just keeps getting jucier.
It's Predator. It's absolutely Predator. The end segment is the heroes discovering one of those ziggurat things from AVP, then Predator hops out to fight the White Lotus guys. It's a tie-in to the next movie, which Carl Weathers will narrate in a Morgan Freeman-esque style.

That's it. #Konfirmed. GG WP.

It wasn't anticlimatic. The boss is supposed to be a surprise - if they start to hint who he is it won't be a surprise.

And I'm thankful they're just moving forward without paying attention to the impatient ones. Imagine doing a movie and people are all over it wanting to know plot twists before it's even out. Gosh.

Nah man, don't get me wrong, I don't want to know everything myself. I guess anticlimactic was the wrong word. It's just that it's one of Quan Chi's Oni demons, which means it's nobody important. And it's kinda funny that it's nobody important because we all felt a "boss character" vibe from it.

I still think this is Kangs final form at the end of the game, hes playable but just not in this form, im talking about mortal kombat annihilation kinda style ending yah, watch and see.
