I don't disagree with Sins' claims that the men should be in extremely good shape, and the women have extremely fit bodies. They're martial artists, they should be. Sins also did not say the men should have roided bodies, as evident from the pictures of the men he posted.
It is unnecessary however to have every woman showing a boatload of cleavage in the game.
With that said, it's unnecessary, but I won't complain, if you wanna show off you have a nice body, go right ahead. This applies to both males and females. I don't see people complaining about women at the gym wearing Sports Bras and Booty shorts, its clear that they wanna show off their fit bodies. Female MMA Fighters wear Sports Bras and Booty Shorts as well, I don't see anyone telling them to cover up. In fact, male MMA fighters can only wear shorts to the cage/ring as their only article of clothing besides the gloves.

But AGAIN... MK9 females bodies weren't even proportional (yet JohnnySins stated otherwise). I modded MK9 female models in T poses and that was VERY far away from realistic anatomy. Even for a game. Gorilla arms, man faces, triangle body + revealing clothing, make up, high heels = no. Just no.

MK1, MKII, MK4, Deception and Deadly Alliance.
5 out of the 9 games weren't very sexual, sweetheart.
Mileena doesn't count in the 3D games, because she's been sleazy since MK3.
Anyways, as I said before, MKX seems going the route of the non-sexualized MK games, and focusing on what has always mattered most in MK; fighting, gore and story.

I just want realistic looking bodies. Realistic as in, Earthrealm characters wouldn't look like they could easily take on a Shokan 1-2-3 BOOM they're dead... despite Story Mode basically made it that way. I'm athletic, but I'm not ripped. It would just be a bit more interesting to see characters look like they didn't use steroids or whatever to look like what they do.
However, with what people are wearing, that's something I could care less about. Who cares what they wear. In the end, I'm more so concerned about getting my butt kicked by the opponent than worrying about getting blood on the female's boobs.

You're right about this one. That is way lots of studios made games with sexualization of females. Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive, Road to Hell:Redemption, Duke Nukem.
And you know what? The harder they pressed that "sex sells" the crappier games became. MK9 was like one of those super extremely rare instances it was able to pull off a good story, great mechanics and add sexualization. Even so it is a risky shot, because if you were to look back you would see a long graveyard of games which offered bouncy butts and breasts. They didn't make it nor became popular.

What helped MK9 sell was the simple word "reboot."
Everyone and their mother knew that MK9 was just essentially MK1 thru UMK3 (version 2.0).
It's not exactly that hard to sell a game that's essentially made from the best MK era and the most competitive MK era that ever existed.
Add Kratos (the most over-rated PlayStation character) to that mix, and you have non-MK people who just want to play as the Greek Quan Chi wannabe.
As for MKX, not a single scantily clad female is on there, and there's tons of hype for it.
