I really wish some more OG DB characters were in/ focused on a bit more. It would be awesome if Nam became a Z fighter. I also wish that Tien was more involved. Seriously, he was a badass in OG DB. Also, it would be awesome if Grandpa Gohan had met with Goku at some point when he was dead, he was totally forgotten about in Z

He was Goku's caretaker when he was young, he was accidentally killed by Goku though before the events of the original DB when he turned into a Great Ape

The Gohan that we all know was named after him

Speaking of that, a lot of people say that they liked DB more because of its lightheartedness/humans actually mattered in DB, and I agree with that, but one of the biggest reasons I prefer DB to DBZ was its fantasy/mythological elements and feel

The History of Trunks and Bardock The Father of Goku will always be my favorite DBZ movies

The only non-canon DBZ movies I actually liked though were the Cooler movies and the Legendary Super Saiyan movie lol

The feeling of adventure was great too. Flying around, meeting new people who didn't necessarily have ridiculous powers and having to work to get the dragon balls.

The history of Trunks, love that movie too, so much emotion in it

The one thing I hate about most of the DBZ movies is how useless Vegeta is in pretty much every one he is in

Especially the first Broly movie, my god, he was such a pussy in that movie

In Dragon Ball, they actually used a variety of techniques and spells in fights and not just signature ki attacks and punches

And then there's Launch and Colonel Violet

Roshi was badass in DB. In DBZ he was useless.

Master Roshi's highlights in DB? His absolutely godlike fight with King Piccolo, defeating Goku in the World Tournament, using the Max Kamehameha to destroy Ox-King's castle and being the most powerful human of his time

Master Roshi's highlights in DBZ and GT, on the other hand? Motorboating 18's titties and getting new sunglasses

It just felt like they pulled the entire plot out of their ass and went with it to me lol

I couldn't take the movie seriously

It was better than Fusion Reborn though, that's for damn sure

And the movie was filled with humor, which was a cool twist since Broly is a freakin' monster.
