Official Anime Discussion

So I gave [C] Control a shot. It's pretty good so far. I'm only 6 episodes in.

essentially if you want money there is a district (hidden world) where you can wager money on these sort of avatar battles. you can spend money on special moves ect ect.

beating someone by a certain %, nets you that much more money from them.

However to enter into this you must offer your future as collateral if you ever go bankrupt.

So as the main hero realizes the more people he puts into bankruptcy, he takes away their future. Like if he takes out, a loving father of 2. The district/bank takes his children away from the real world as collateral.

Once the main character realizes that he's ruining people's lives, he becomes torn between winning/losing. He doesn't want to lose his own future, but doesn't want to destroy others.

By future, do they mean his life or just his success in the future?

just things from your future.

I tried to explain it as best as I can. Things from your future will be taken.

So like the father example. his kids are his future, but they all dissappear.

nobody remembers their existence except people who go to the financial district.

The only type of anime I won't watch still are ecchi, harem, slice of life and magical girl anime (and hentai/yaoi/yuri/Genocyber-type anime obviously)

A year ago, all I cared about was old Toonami and Adult Swim anime :?
