Those have to be the most unbelievably retarded voices I've ever heard. They remind me of the voices on hentai dubs.
Yeah, I guess so. I nearly burst out laughing when I heard the dude speak, though.
Best 90s dub is definitely Cowboy Bebop... even if that was the late 90s.
Oh my shit hentai dubs are too funny
Yeah the voice acting back in the 90s wasn't too hot. Of course some were good but most were ass
Oh yeah dude, Tenchi's VA is ridiculous sounding, but I personally find it fitting for Tenchi since Tenchi is just astoundingly stupid and shy.
I will definitely agree about the dub in Cowboy Bebop. I actually just started it the other day. I only finished the first 2 episodes but so far I highly enjoy it and the dub and animation are spot on.
Yeah, I suppose so. If it works, then sure. I couldn't imagine Kuwabara in Yu Yu Hakusho having any other voice even if it was retarded.
Kuwabara is the perfect example. That's another anime I like I still need to finish. My friend has Season 1 on DVD and I finished 3 out of 4 disc just because the 4th one was still at my friends house. I just havent' gotten around to getting it from him and finishing it. I'll probably just start over from the beginning since it's been quite awhile.
I could tell the first few episodes in Cowboy Bebop would be the episodes that kinda let you get a feel for the characters, settings and lets you know what it's going to be about. If I can finish Girls Bravo, then I'll be able to finish Cowboy Bebop no problem.
Yeah, they sort of are. If you like Cowboy Bebop, I'd recommend Samurai Champloo when you're done. It has a very similar structure and the fights are amazing.
A waifu is a waifu, regardless if it's from a game/anime/manga.
I want to know if this part was on TV whenever Toonami used to air Tenchi Muyo. I wont lie, I love the hell out of this anime, but it's got some pretty perverted stuff in it for being a 'kids' show.
The Japanese Dub is way worse than the English Dub. The Japanese Dub has her talking about using her mouth, boobs and "the full course" instead of just her hands lol.
Watching this show now explains so many things as a kid like my perverted sense of humor and my thing for demon chicks.
I can already tell that the series goes down hill once Muyo ends. I don't have my hopes up too high. Should I at least watch Universe or whatever once comes after the Muyo series (what does come after the Muyo series? I honestly don't know, I'm really just watching the OVA series because that's all I know of, I don't know if there's any other episodes to the Muyo series besides the Mihoshi Special)Just stick to the Muyo series Nemesis!!
I never thought about it like that. I always figured since it was in the Toonami line up, it was aimed at for kids.I never considered Tenchi Muyo a show for kids. If anything, it was aimed mostly at adolescents.
Oh definitely. It's not something I picked up on as a kid, but once Grandpa revealed himself to be Yosho that's when I noticed there's incest themes to the show. I just figured since Japan isn't as 'UGH GROSS' about it as we are, I never looked at it like a big deal in the show. Also, if you didn't realize it by, now, but to an extent, the series has a bit of incest, if you delve into the Jurai family tree more closely. Well, the original characters anyways. But not the spin-offs such as GXP and War on Geminar.
Yeah, it's pretty messed up when you think about it. I didn't have cable but, I stayed a relative's home (who did have cable) during the summer. I was really excited when I heard Tenchi Muyo was coming to Toonami. My interest in anime was at its peak at the time. Unfortunately, it aired as summer was coming to a close, so I only watched the first few episodes.

That's when I first saw it too! I remember seeing a few episodes at my cousins house during the summer and I didn't see it for quite awhile. I used to talk about it all the time to my babysitter. One Christmas my babysitter came over and handed me a gift. I unwrapped it and little 7 or 8 year old me sprung out of my chair in happiness. My babysitter gave me the first 3 OVA episodes. I wore the shit out of that VHS.

Tenchi Muyo is also one of the only few animes where I'll actually watch the opening credits too. I've always loved the static glitch type art that's in the background of the opening credits.
